Padgett Place: October 2009

Saturday, October 24, 2009. A Blog For My Fans (Mom). Mom is asking me to update, and since she's given me a lot in life (including life), I am happy to oblige. What to write.what to write. What else.what else. Got a new iPod ("Lil' Green II"). May or may not still be listening to Celine Dion. Definitely am listening to the cast of Glee sing Queen's "Somebody to Love" over and over again. Incredible. (Not advocating the show, just the music.). And "I don't know." Precious. Now awaiting Justin's return fr...

Sunday, June 12, 2011. Little Known Fact About the Padgetts #1:. We look ridiculously good in cowboy hats. Justin and I discovered this on a recent trip to Texas with my parents. I saw a sign that said, "In Texas, it's not bragging- it's just telling the truth." So, I took this attitude for a couple of hours (thus, the hat picture) and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Our time together could only be improved by one thing: if only Justin had let me buy that cowboy hat. Links to this post. Birthdays and Busy Bags.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Hand me an Oscar! I just finished watching one of my favorite Office episodes. It's the one where Dwight gives a Mussolini speech at the paper convention: "Blood alone moves the wheels of history! That has no relevance to this post, but it just makes me laugh. Karen, Im glad youre having so much fun at your job. It doesnt surprise me at all that youd be just as good at teaching fourth grade as kindergarten. Your dog is super-cute! When did you get her? Hope I can see you soon!

Padgett Place: Recap of Dec 09
http://jckcpadgett.blogspot.com/2009/12/recap-of-dec-09.html
Friday, January 1, 2010. Recap of Dec 09. Justin turned the big 2-5 and the Counsells and Brett and Janna helped us celebrate a little bit. He received an Alabama cornhole game and a Funfetti cake (his choice) that said "RTR" in blue icing. Wonder what he's laughing about. Classic hold-the-camera-out-and-take-it-yourself-picture in front of the top hat-clad tree. I was like a little kid this year- counting down the days! I will make an effort not to get too old for Christmas ever again. Sidenote: the...

Friday, September 11, 2009. Unpacking is tedious. So is not having air conditioning. Yup. Alabama. Late summer. No air. Oh well. We're still excited about the new house, despite the sweltering heat (which will be fixed for free once we can actually meet the handyman at the house sometime between 8:00 AM and next Easter). And, on another positive note, we have Internet as of tonight! Life is pretty good. Has made me think about friends quite a bit. We left a lot of dear friends in BG. Unwrapping all of ou...

Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Well, currently, I am sitting in the Coliseum Public Library. How I wish that were in Rome and not in Montgomery, AL, surrounded by a surly bunch of library go-ers! But, thus is life. Justin and I are finally somewhat settling into our new sweet home Alabama after weeks of busyness and travel. Here are some updates to what we've been doing. In the past month:. Hubby coffee the best tiramasu I've ever eaten= a little piece of Heaven; eating at Zia's on "The Hill"}. Those are thi...
