Saturday, April 2, 2011. Here is another new shirt I just made for Nana. I altered a "sew along" shirt from another blog. I really like the gathers and the elastic sleeves. The bodice was the hardest part of the shirt. My little model needs to learn to make her smile look a little more subtle. this is what I get when I tell her to say, "cheese"! A couple of days ago a friend of mine encouraged me to try and eliminate Naomi's early morning feeding because she should be able to go longer without eating. So, Jesse and I talked about trying to do it in a week or so. Well, that little girl did it all on her own! Last night she slept from 10:30pm until 5am for the first time without waking up to feed! Sunday, April 24, 2011. Praise God, Jesus is risen! Easter signifies new life and most of all our Risen Lord! So, while I know Easter is not about the new outfit I just made for my little girl. I feel it is a good reminder of "new things". The way Christ brings new life into our existence and cleanses us and makes us. new! She really seemed to love twirling around in it! It was nice and roomy! She looks like a little angel holding that pose with her hands on her chin! No more baby Nana! I know, I know!

Friday, March 27, 2009. Funny things kids say. Most recently in my job, I've been given the opportunity to work with children again. This has opened the door to many questions about my expanding waist. It has also unexpectedly opened the door to talk to my teen clients about sex! Who would have thought that being pregnant could be turned into a clinical intervention! One teenage client of mine asked me, "So, how long have you been pregnant? That's a funny way to ask it!
