Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Adam was told by kids at school that Santa doesn't exist, but he's insists Santa is real. Samuel tried to convince him that Santa is just us, but Adam said, "NO, Samuel! If you don't believe he won't come! That shut Samuel up and they very much enjoyed preparing for Santa. The joy of having children old enough to read a clock! It's not 8am yet! They boys got remote controlled cars that do 360 degree turns and flips.

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Nor Cal Pirate Festival 2013. Every year, on Father's Day weekend, there is a large Pirate Festival in Vallejo. It is a blast! More than half of the people that attend are dressed up and ready to party. It has become a yearly tradition for us since moving here, and we love it! That is one happy boy in that picture! After the trampoline, Adam decided he wanted a sword, too. After he got that, he then taught Samuel what h...

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Friday, October 31, 2014. Let me explain.". Let me explain. No, there is too much, let me sum up.". Inigo Montoya (from The Princess Bride). To sum up, this past year had been busy. Most of the insanity ended during the summer, but below is a quick summary of what we did each month. Halloween was fun, and I make the boys Link costumes. But we had a nice quiet holiday and enjoyed some down time. Christmas and Winter Break! Aaron has been traveling...

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Thursday, December 8, 2011. My Adam cracks me up. Today, on the way to school, Aaron asked Adam how school was going and what he thought was good and bad about it. Adam replied,"I don't like listening. And I like lunch recess. Oh! And I can spell pig! After some hearty congratulations from us, he said excitedly,"Oh! And I can speak. Makes snorting noises)" Then he so sadly sighed, "But the pigs just ignore me and won't talk back.". J is for jeans.

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Adam-ism: A Really Good Mammal. Here's the latest funny bit from Adam. This boy makes us laugh a lot! Adam didn't want bathe one night and asked why we have to take showers. I said, "Because we're mammals and we would stink horribly if we didn't wash regularly.". Adam looked confused and asked, "Wait. What's a mammal again? Aaron answered, "We're mammals. Mammals are animals that have hair and give milk.".

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Friday, November 11, 2011. Samuel and I went to the party and lots of fun seeing all of the creative costumes. I stood at a door in the building and Samuel followed the lines of kids "trick or treating" through the building. Samuel carried Adam's bucket and asked for candy to take home to him. What a nice brother! The boys got some full-sized candy bars and their buckets were half full after just a couple of blocks. Links to this post. Some Thoug...

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Monday, July 8, 2013. We were very busy in June. The last couple weeks of school were packed with school plays, potlucks and field trips. Both boys did great and really, they are a couple of hams :) Samuel's play was about the Revolutionary War and the westward migration. One weekend, we went to a mirror maze at Fisherman's Wharf. We had gotten free passes from a friend and the boys had a blast! The lighthouse is only open for a few hours on the ...

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Friday, November 9, 2012. We went up to Oregon for the week of the 4th. We had a great time visiting with family and I was absolutely terrible at taking pictures on this trip! I didn't get many and most of those that I do have I won't be posting. Several relatives don't like pictures of their kids on the internet, in whatever form, and I am respecting their wishes. What we saved in gas, paid for half of the rental. After specifically being told t...

Hanging On By A Thread. Adventures of the Brewster Family. Sunday, January 8, 2012. December started out busy since I was in charge of our ward's Relief Society Wreath Making activity the first weekend of the month. It was a lot of work and preparation, but it went well. We had a lovely musical program, then a luncheon followed by the actual wreath making. There were lots of requests for us to do the same thing again next year - so that told me it went great! Our tree was crammed into our living room.
