Friday, July 10, 2015. It was my first time back on the west coast camping since the tsunami in Japan. I was expecting to see perhaps more garbage than usual on the beaches. Sure enough, there were many brightly coloured fish net buoys, with Japanese writing on them. Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Craigslist can be a good or bad thing. Whilst perusing the site one day under the heading of kayaks, I came across a George Dyson style of baidarka for sale at $400. I couldn't resist calling the owner, went to his home, talked him down a bit in price and picked it up. Never mind that I already have two other skin-on-frame kayaks and not much room for storage. Saturday, January 21, 2012. Poul Cadovius and Danish Furniture. I researched a bit more on Poul Cadovius and learned that he also designed what is called the "Royal" shelving system. It's a flexible furnishing system that uses a variety of combinations from a set of standard elements. They are very modernist in appearance but are still relevant and look amazing.
