Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Is it March already? March 5, 2009 at 10:29 am. They say March is in like a lion, out like a lamb, but this year, for me, February was all lion. The entire month I had something going on, so I’ve felt a little disconnected from my precious internets and have been trying to catch up on all my favorite blogs! The reason for my absence? I wore it the first day of snowboarding and it kept me nice and toasty (as well as visible! Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rocks Medium We...

Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Back from a crazy week. February 14, 2009 at 11:21 am. So, it’s been a little over a week since I’ve posted, but it feels like forever because I have hardly had any time to work on my various knitting projects! My husband and I barely got any sleep during the week leading up to his show – there was so much to do and we were up until 4 am or later every night! It was a good time overall, but I was happy to return home to some normalcy and knitting time. I then decided to do ano...

Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Archive for September, 2008. Long Time, No Blog. I am a very bad blogger. I just realized that I haven’t updated this blog since February! Well, despite the fact that I haven’t been blogging I have, at least, been continuing to work on projects. Socks are not for me. I still have several skeins of lovely DK yarn that, at one time, I had dreamed of turning into luscious socks. But now I am eying those same skeins with new possibilities – namely, clothes for Blythe. Chunky yarn ...

Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Archive for February, 2008. My Neck is Warmer than Your Neck! Well, I still haven’t started on any socks with the nice koigu I bought, but I am making some tiny practice socks with some cheap acrylic yarn using the book, “2-at-a-time Socks”, which teaches the mystery that is 2 socks simultaneously one ONE circular needle! I’ve also finished my neckwarmer with the Cascade Baby Alpaca yarn I bought. I followed THIS. Pattern and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! Follow “...

Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Archive for April, 2007. It’s Been a While…. It’s been a while since I last updated. That’s partially because I haven’t had as much time lately to do crafty things: work has been demanding and I haven’t really started anything new. I’ve just been working on all the things that I’ve already mentioned in past entries. I’m almost done with my Cobweb scarf – thanks in part to my husband frequently bugging me to finish it! Will it ever end? It’s still not perfect…. ...I also made a...

Sayllama’s Craftastic Blog. Socks, and Yarn, and Spoilers, oh my! March 30, 2009 at 6:03 am. It’s tax time again, which means I’ve been spending more time itemizing receipts and less time knitting. Yet, amazingly I managed to finish a pair of socks in less than a month! 17 days, to be exact, which is a record for me. Let me introduce you to my Leyburns. Which I knit as part of a KAL. I did have a tighter gauge knitting the second sock so it feels noticeably more snug on my foot, but not uncomfortably so.
