We had planned to go to Rinca Island to see the Komodo Dragons, but there was a sailing event on (Sail Komodo) which the President was attending so all accommodation and flights to Komodo were booked out. My amazing journey in Indonesia! Day Out With Dad. Afterwards we went to fake trees made of long purple metal poles with thin wires connecting the poles horizontally. The idea is that the plants will grow and take shape of the poles. I think this is a great way to beautiful art in an environmentally friendly way. My amazing journey in Indonesia! While we were in Singapore we caught up with one of Mum’s Chinese friends who she met in University…. Frances! We played with Adin, her 14 year old son, though the weird thing was Edin is taller than Adin. Frances has a daughter named Jennifer who is 17 years old, not that tall either, was at her school camp so we met up with Jennifer at dinner. It is part of the Bunaken Marine National Park , renowned for excellent diving spots, however Manado Tua does not have the resorts which neighbouring Bunaken Island has. Not many white people stop there – just those crazy enough to climb the 800m high mountain. There was plenty to see along the way – butterflies, and tropical plants I have no idea what they were.
