Lots of roller coaster hills (one really really big one). My Uncle John rode in with me from D.C. and believe it or not, he got hit! Yes an older lady didn’t see him and turned in front of him as he was coming down a hill at about 30 mph. But, we made it! Now for a little well deserved R&R! June 26, 2012.

June 26, 2012. Great picture as I passed the Monument. Whew, it took a lot longer than I anticipated. The ride along was good once I got to the Potomac. There’s a really cool walkway/trail for runners, walkers and bikers so I had to slow down a bit to keep from plowing into people. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

This will be my longest day of the ride, 117 miles I think. And it looks like I’ll have a 10-15 mph headwind. Gonna be a looooong day. Wish me luck and pray that the weather people are wrong. I made it safe and sound to Suffolk VA! Just four more riding days left, Yeaaaaaa! I’m looking forward to resting my bum. June 23, 2012.
