IST Grade 2 – Welcome! News and Information from the Grade 2 Classroom. Visit To The Azam Factory. During our unit on How We Organise Ourselves, students learned about part of the food industry process by visiting the Azam juice factory. They observed the steps from mango pulp to mango juice. They saw the ingredients being mixed together at the beginning to finished juice boxes being loaded onto trucks at the end. Students reflected on what they learned from visiting the factory. Grade 3 Business Fair.

We have used a koru pattern to create our own Whanau (family) Kowhaiwhai. A koru pattern represents new life,peace, growth, harmony and strength. Ever since Deng Xiao Ping (1904-1997) opened China's gates, its economic growth has risen drammatically. Before this, China was closed to the rest of the world, because it was under Communist rule and this was the time of Mau Tse-tung, the famous Communist ruler of China, from 1954 to 1959.
