I'm Portuguese and many of my fellow man, in this little square of the world, share this religious upbringing. As I see it, religion and religious texts (not spirituality) were conceived as weapons. And if someone wins the war, that means that God is favoring some of His children. If you have siblings, like I do, you probably always listened to your parents saying that they love every child the same amount!
