We discovered the rather disappointing 'ruins of a stonemason's house' as well as some kind of kids' ride that had a lot of instructions about safety and appropriate clothing, but nothing that helped us understand how on earth you were supposed to use it. Mama chari' is the Japanese way of describing an ordinary bicycle - often it comes with 2 baskets (back and front) or perhaps with a child seat (hence the 'mama' part). The bike I ride around Sapporo could fit into this catrgory. And these days it's a rather sad looking mama chari, as the front basket is broken and doesn't sit quite as it should.
