Michael Bromley – Application Developer. Mobile, web and desktop applications. October 11, 2014. October 16, 2014. Game App for Mobile and Desktop :. How can you go from a word like ‘morbid’ to a word like ‘ecstatic’? Or from ‘fastidious’ to ‘vigil’? Synonymy is a game of finding the paths between random words through their network of synonyms. By taking the synonym of a word, and then a synonym of that synonym, and so on, you can ultimately arrive at any other word in the English language.

Oculus Rifts On A Plane. June 28, 2014 10:26 am. The Challenge: Can a crowded airplane be made tolerable using VR? So I loaded up my backpack and headed out. I assumed that airport security would give me crap about this strange stuff, but I guess the ones at SFO are either savvy enough or just don’t care. Probably the former. No problem. Fun and victory at VR Hackathon. October 20, 2014 11:10 am. So the first SF VR Hackathon. Was held this past weekend, it was historic! Tons of folks, many teams, so much innovation! Check the website for details, but from my perspective: YAY! Probably the most amazing thing to me was a shader by Chris Berke. Two triangles in the scene. It was a living world with a day/night cycle and thousands of beings scurrying around on the gorgeous terrain. Amazing! Props to Leap and the rest of the sponsors!

Durable, community supported. And championed by Fraunhofer. I’m making an X3D/X3Dom exporter for Unity. And that’s ‘shader heavy’. I figured I’d support most common stuff, and the ‘ Common Surface Shader. Is pretty good, has more than I needed, but this is where I found the most gold. I’ll cut to the chase. Here...I want ...
