One minute you are on top of the world, and the next it all comes crashing down on you. The surgery went well. The surgeon finished a half hour before he expected, which was hours before WE expected. My Husband, My Soldier, My Hero". Monday, January 4, 2010. We had a pretty modest Christmas this year, but the kids never complained. Everyone got new clothes, and Santa brought them each a sled and one toy. We got to spend time together as a family and that is the most important part.
