August 3, 2007. Sunday School Teachers and Philanthropy. 8212; davebritt @ 6:50 pm. Remember Mark Twain’s gem about Tom Sawyer and the Sunday School superintendent? March 22, 2007. 8212; davebritt @ 3:08 am. Some younger friends have inspired me by starting an intelligent dialogue on creating a better world in central Louisiana. Two of them are actually in Tibet at the moment, but that just goes to show that Central Louisiana is important all over the world. We’ll see whether I have anything to contribute to the conversation. Stay tuned as I bring my blogging skills slowly up to date. 2 Comments ». Comment by Daniel Smith. 8212; March 31, 2007 @ 4:39 am.

March 27, 2007. 8212; davebritt @ 1:26 pm. Nonprofits today are undergoing a sea change. People are figuring out new ways of doing things to make real differences, rather than simply supporting organizations. Today’s column by Nicholas Kristof in the. Here’s Kristof’s column I couldn’t figure out which parts to leave out:. You, Too, Can Be a Banker to the Poor. By NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF. So on my arrival here in Afghanistan, I visited my new business partners to see how they were doing. On a muddy street in...
