Jeff is in China. Monday, June 20, 2011. Day 26 and 27. The pictures here are from around the campus at night, at the Science and Technology Museum, and the wedding I attended Saturday night. On a street by Shanghai University, street vendors are usually here from 9:00 to 11:00 in the evening selling snacks to the students. This can include anything from grilled chicken, pork or fish, to vegetables or dumplings. This was a street vendor who just dumped all her boxes on the ground and was selling books.

I've been learning a lot about Chinese Culture and history, doing a little shopping, and getting ready for the Dragon Boat Festival weekend. The other night I went out with my Chinese Cultures teacher and we went downtown on the subway, to eat, and to see the Bund and Nanjing road at night. Jeff is in China. Monday, June 13, 2011. Days 21 and 22. This weekend our USAC group went to visit the city of Hangzhou. Hangzhou is rated one of the most livable cities in China, and is about 3 hours by bus from Shanghai. In this posting I will tell you a little about life here in China, and then about the two sites in Hangzhou we visited. First, you can find out more about Hangzhou from the China Travel Guide.
