Home blog for Jf. Jeter III. Sunday, May 11, 2003. Saw Steve Earle last night at Tampa Theater. A lot more rock-oriented than expected. Failed to play "Telephone Road," but his second encore triad of The Amboy Dukes' "Time," The Youngbloods' "Get Together" and Elvis Costello's version of Nick Lowe's "(What's So Funny About) Peace, Love and Understanding" brought the house down. Overall, a moving, politically-charged performance. * *1/2. Posted by Jeff @ 3:06 PM.
