Day 66 – Living by principles | Gonna Ride My Bike
http://www.gonnaridemybike.com/2011/07/day-66-living-by-principles
8230;until I get home! Jul 11, 2011. Day 66 – Living by principles. Its not all plain sailing. This morning was bleugh! But check out Mt Hood in the distance! Fortunately it often doesn’t take much to improve the situation. We stopped at a gas station and thanks to a bathroom break, some Chex Mix (love that stuff! Some good banter with Matt and Pat, and the sun coming out, when we rode off I was ‘back in the game’ and the rest of the days ride passed much more easily. 4000 miles in and our first tunnel.

Would love to kayak down here sometime. Correcting the cycle-photos to food-photos ratio). Matt leads the way. Took a ...

There is no way to suitably convey the range of feelings and thoughts I have about our trip now that its over. But here’s a few random pieces of my mind. I was quite worried before starting this ride that I would end up not enjoying it, that my sabbatical would have been wasted and I’d regret the whole thing. I’m greatly relieved and a little bit proud to say that I. The worst that can...

8230;until I get home! Jul 2, 2011. Day 57 – The Path To Wisdom. One of the best things about staying in a home overnight is getting a proper breakfast in the morning. I actually quite like my standard of a couple of cold pop-tarts and a granola bar but you can’t beat a big bowl of cereal, coffee and some toast for a good start to the morning. We thanked George (Mary Jo was still in bed – lucky thing! And set off again. This is not how to rehydrate! I just had to have some fried grease with my salad.
