Mother of The Year. Thursday, November 17, 2011. What a doozie this morning was! She looked up at me with tears streaking down her little cheeks and said, "Mommy I just want to stay home and read." How do you say no to reading? Soon it was time to leave for school. She got herself up, shoes on and out the door. We walked to the bus stop and she climbed on the bus. Mother of The Year. Thursday, August 1, 2013. So the kids are now 7 and 9. You'd think that over time things may have changed, nope! They are growing up nicely though. We went to visit my Grandmother "Gram" in the hospital the other day. While the boy got a bit stir crazy he did pretty well for being there for 5 hours. The girl however was super fantastic. She got close to Gram and talked with her, she sat and made bracelets for everyone there and she showed her mature side. JenStar and her SeidmEn.

Mother of The Year. Monday, August 5, 2013. American Girl store part II. It was a success! I've never seen the girls eyes light up so bright and so big! It was a day full of "yes! For me and fun for her! She was adorable carrying both of her American Girl Dolls into the store. She had gift cards and she knew the amount they were worth so she tried to keep count of how much she was spending. I was proud of how responsible she was trying to be. We walked all over the store several times! I love my girl!

Mother of The Year. Thursday, June 21, 2012. Mom goes on strike! Last night for the millionth time during dinner I heard "I don't want this, it's gross! That was enough for me. I kind of went of the deep end and told the kids I was done, I was no longer cooking. The next morning I woke up to the girl and boy telling me to get up, they were making breakfast. Mother of The Year. Friday, December 30, 2011. Daddy was sick today so the girl and I made him chicken noodle soup. I really must admit, I cut up the veggies and she made the rest. She sauted the veggies, added the broth and stirred every 5 mins. until it boiled. She then added the noodles. She did this all on her own. While she was doing all her waiting she sat and read me a book! The smile on her little face as her sick daddy and little brother ate her soup and loved her soup was more than words can say.

Matthew was very upset he couldn't ride the bumper cars with Daddy and Megan. Emily was just as upset, as you can imagine, but wouldn't show her fit of tears for the camera.
