Thursday, September 8, 2011. Today was Eva's first day of kindergarten and it was almost her first absence! Eva and Stella and I left the house this morning at 6:40 am to get to Stella's "school" which is approximately 10 miles from our house and generally takes us about 15 minutes. One hour later we pulled into her school! I thought I would lose my mind and that Stella would hop out of her skin! Tuesday, August 16, 2011. 3) All dogs are Ar Ars.which I believe is because that is the sound they make!

Saturday, October 16, 2010. Eva literally says things that make me pee my pants. Here are a few:. 1) After going out to dinner w/ my mom and I to our favorite wing place in PA: "Mommy, I love these chicken flaps." Um, Eva, they are chicken wings. Chickens flap their wings, but these are chicken wings! 2) After Matt bought her a smoothie from McDonalds (yes, who knew McDonalds had smoothies): "Mommy, look.Daddy bought me a Snoopy.". Monday, December 1, 2008. We went to a good friend's house for Thanksgiving so we didn't have to do all the cooking and cleaning that usually comes with the day. To remedy this Mom and I did a little cooking on Saturday, a great way to spend a rainy afternoon in Port Angeles. We made yummy Dr. Ross's Rolls. I am not sure who he or she is, but their rolls are fabulous! Here they are after rising, ready to go in the oven. A lot of simmering and voila soup for days. Do they dress up and hit the town?

Angie has been on a kick of having fruit and yogurt for dessert so we got out the cute little parfait bowls that were originally used for our holiday centerpieces and created a delicious dessert for a great girls night in. Sunday, November 7, 2010. One adorable Mini awesome sheep costume great friends = a fantastic first Halloween! A Few Food Adventures. I know, I know another post about food, but at least these were good experiments in cooking. I read an article on Yahoo about getting kids to eat more vegetables. And since I don't have kids, this seemed like a good way to sneak some past myself! This recipe caught my eye, Potato Nachos. All I could think were, Potato Skins with bacon bits, sour cream, cheese. YUM!
