Leaving Thessalonica we traveled eastward to the biblical city of Neapolis (now called Kavala) where Paul landed with Luke, Timothy and Silas (Act 16:11-12) before he went to Philippi. We saw remnants of Via Egnatia, the original Roman road that spanned Greece during Paul’s time, as we drove out of Kavala.
