It is also much more pleasant to be out during the weekend because the smelters are off and there is much less traffic. Usually there is a visble 15 – 20 foot layer of smog over the city, but not on Saturdays and Sundays. AHHHHH! We searched for local or at least regional clothing, something that says “Ust Kamenogorsk” or “Kazakhstan” or at least has some logo or slogan in Russian – but nyet. Everything that had teams, or slogans was in English or for German, Italian, or Brit sports teams. We’ll try at the other bazaar tomorrow. Our jumpy good time. We arrived to get the kids at noon, and I first went to find Dr. Natalia in her office. I was able to again say thank you and wish her and the baby house well.
