In this body of work, I’m exploring ideas about and insights from meditation and yoga. As a container, I’m using a circle to invoke the idea of a traditional mandala, or map for meditation. In this painting I’m exploring the idea of an object of meditation being held, suspended, floating, in the field of awareness. In this painting, I’m exploring the idea that the path to the opening of chakras is like a labyrinth. Not a maze, there are no dead ends, just maybe not a direct shot every time!
