Tuesday, 11 June 2013. We gather that tomorrow's stage is quite dangerous in the current conditions, with steep ground all still under snow. It is very clear that this problem will only get worse as the route gets higher. Sunday, 16 June 2013. Day 15 Asson- Lourdes. I had been informed that today was going to be very hot, so I got up at 5, and quite quickly set off, stopping for the breakfast I had bought an hour or so later. It certainly was hot- by 9.30 the tar on the road was already melting. I passed Helmut and Elizabeth. They must have started very early, as they had spent the night about 1 1/2 hours further back. They are aiming to get to Lourdes tomorrow, from where they will get the train somewhere else.
