My Life In The Caribbean. Sunday, 22 April 2012. Climb to the top of Pigeon Island . Every day I look out my window and I see Pigeon Island. And last month James and I finally took ourselves out for a climb up to the top after a friend was surprised to learn we had not done it yet so off. When we got to the fort on the island we came across these girls. They were laughing and having so much fun you would never think they were working out . You go girls! My Life In The Caribbean. Monday, 26 December 2011. Early Christmas treat at Jalousie . James and I were offered a night at the beautiful Jalousie hotel which is just south of the village of Soufriere, nestled between the world famous Pitons. So we packed our overnight bags and headed south. We always stop here to take in the great view of Soufriere and what a view. We have arrived hooray! The Jalousie hotel was originally a working sugar plantation you can still see evidence of it on the grounds.
