One year on…… | Seeking Taqwa

https://katescrafts.wordpress.com/2010/07/08/one-year-on

Islamic happiness project…. The to-do list…. One year on……. July 8, 2010. Well, more than a year actually…. we arrived here in Algeria at the end of June last year…and it’s been a time of readjustment, finding our feet and carving out a new life for ourselves…. It’s a busy life masha’allah…the majority of it revolving around the children and their schedule…even in the summer when the masjid takes over from school, and children are kept busy with their Islamic studies…. 6 responses ». Lots of changes ,all...

Islamic happiness project…. The to-do list…. August 10, 2010. You probably don’t know about me, is that I tend to keep my worst problems to myself…. That, I ponder over letting people into the privacy of my problems for so long, that by the time I’m through the other side of it…there’s no point anyway…. I have Post Natal Depression…and it sucks! I said it…it’s out! Do I feel better….erm…. can I answer that one another time please? When I’m actually once again able to process thought and make sense? So I ...

Living deliberately….. | Seeking Taqwa

https://katescrafts.wordpress.com/2010/06/08/living-deliberately

Islamic happiness project…. The to-do list…. June 8, 2010. Nuturing happiness in myself through simplicity and peacefulness is the path I wanted to tread years ago, but which didn’t fit into other peoples ideas and expectations of what I should do, or be…. It also didn’t carry with it the same kind of respect that it does now…. or maybe it did and I just didn’t have enough courage to claim it for myself…. I remember my brother asking me years ago, when I was working as a home help five mornings a week.

Islamic happiness project… | Seeking Taqwa

Islamic happiness project…. The to-do list…. Islamic happiness project…. Inspired by something I came across ages ago. The Islamic Happiness Project. My 12 positive commandments. I will be content with whatever I hold between my own hands, and not stress about the things I may never possess. I will be forgiving and always look for the good in people. I will always be honest with myself. I will nuture my relationship with Allah ta’ala. I will try to be of service to those around me. 2 responses ». She&#82...

Shelter of Solace: 'Snapshots' for the Baby Scrapbook

http://shelterofsolace.blogspot.com/2008/11/snapshots-for-baby-scrapbook.html

It is God who made your habitations homes of rest and quiet." (Surah Al Nahl 16:80). Saturday, 29 November 2008. Snapshots' for the Baby Scrapbook. May moan about the endless rounds of nursing and childcare. But truth be told I am desperately clutching onto these fleeting moments which I know will be over all too soon. And these are just some of the moments that I want. To capture and emblazon into the scrapbook of my memory. The look of eagerness and delight on his face just before he chows down for milk.

Footprints in the Sand: March 2010

http://ummheemu.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Footprints in the Sand. My Better Half Loves Chocolate. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Make-up Fasts - Day 1 of 30. Today is my first make-up fast. I was unable to fast the whole month Ramadan 1430 as Ibraheem was born on the 7th of Ramadan. I thought before Ramadan rolls around again, Insha'Allah, I should make up my missed fasts. I had some frozen paratha and a fried egg for sahoor. Quick and convenient! This is my first fast in a while, I hope the day goes well, Bi-idhnillah! Links to this post. We discov...

Home education (or not) in Sweden: May 2011

http://homeedsweden.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Thursday, May 26, 2011. My allotment. The owner either has forgotten to come and weed or actually likes dandelions. I am trying not to feel smug, as I seem to have overcome the worst of these 'lions-teeth' this year. And out in our park, the young ones decide to make a pretend fire. That's my phone photos, next up, next up fathoming out the camera leads etc. I am not surprised.

Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Friday, June 24, 2011. The allotment and it's produce. The children, I mean! Some good news and some bad. Don't worry it's not so bad! Yesterday I got the good news that a dear of friend has a new addition to the family, and now joins me in the. Joy of having 5 children. Well this is one of the downsides of living in Sweden, insects that want to eat you. Thursday, June 09, 2011.

Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Friday, July 15, 2011. Nothing special going on. These were some flowers I noticed at the park by the funfair earlier in the Summer, and I'd forgotten to upload them- they are rather stunning. As opposed to these 2 peaks, Mount Washmore and Mont Foldme- do you have piles like this forming, approximately 4 times a week? 1 I don't have to go and water the allotment. Biryani can no...

Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Thursday, March 29, 2012. We went, H and I (who was off school, sick, but was so enthusiastic about what we were to do that he wanted to come) and made the first fire of the year. He was not impressed in the end "Fail, fail" (too much newspaper and dried, old weeds and not enough big sticks) but it went better than last time's when everything was so damp. Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Thursday, September 01, 2011. I'm allowed to Home Educate in Sweden. Myself, that is! I've just started an online Uni course in Creative Writing (in English)- no compulsory attendance, no need for social training (I'm supposed to have passed that unit by now, I assume). Home education (or not) in Sweden: Sweden still surprises me

http://homeedsweden.blogspot.com/2011/11/dark-grey-days-are-upon-us-and-im.html

Home education (or not) in Sweden. Thoughts on education (especially home education), bringing up children, and life in Sweden. Wednesday, November 02, 2011. Sweden still surprises me. The dark, grey days are upon us, and I'm telling myself "It's not time to hibernate, you don't need sunlight, you don't need sunlight. . .". On their grass-cutting tractor in the semi-darkness! But then most of Sweden would look a bit rough around the edges come Autumn time, and that would just not do! Hz has been adamntly...

Kate's cozy delights. Sugar, spice, and everything nice. December 9, 2012. The skills that I learned in this course that will be used in the future include how to set up a blog, using Illustrator and Photoshop. I always thought blogging would be fun and I have always enjoyed drawing and creating images. I don’t think there are any skills that I wished I had learned in this course, because I feel as though we covered all the basics. December 6, 2012. November 26, 2012. Judging by the intensity with which you pay attention to Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? I'm guessing you're going to be a bookworm like your mom. Someday, when you borrow my beautifully translated, hardcover edition of Les Miserables. You'll notice some yellowishness on the side of the pages. Enjoy the book, it's in my top 10! Victoria's Secret Decoration Ideas. Our New, Pretty Book Nook. Remember the odd nook we have in our living room? It's a funny little space that I wasn't totally sure what to do with for a while. We already have those big bookshelves in the front room so it seemed redundant to have books stored in here. Plus, it's really not that that big of a space. Like this brass task lamp. It's gorgeous, solidly built and a really decent price point for something that looks like a million bucks! I loved the light the ...

Kate's Cranio Blog

Friday, 17 April 2015. Today is 2 years post Kate's operation for unilateral, coronal craniosynostotis at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. She had the op when she was 18 months old, after being diagnosed at about 13 months. The incorrectly fused bone was 'undone' and her skull and eye socket remodelled. The continuing appointments after are because they're just being cautious, in my opinion. Post-op - scar 2014 (looks the same now really). I'm not sure how much other people notice it, but I do. ...

Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Installing fonts for use in PSE is super easy.I hope you find this helpful :). Download your new fonts into your font folder (the path is usually C: WINDOWS Fonts). More than likely, you will be downloading a zipped file (.zip), so you'll need to unzip it to make the font available to use. To do so, you'll have to "find" the files, as they are not going to be visible in your font file. 1 Click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your screen. 2 Click on "Search".
