sunshine: January 2013
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. I know it's been a while and I feel bad about coming and whining but I just can't take it anymore! We actually went to Disneyland over Christmas break and it was cold. They got frost a couple nights and I wore my sweater and coat the entire time. I'm not supposed to leave freezing cold snow and go to not as cold for a vacation! Of course they are having 70 degree weather now that I'm not there. So, what am I going to do about it? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

sunshine: Problem solvers
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/03/problem-solvers.html
Sunday, March 4, 2012. I have learned recently that there seem to be 2 types of people when it comes to solving problems. Those who don't want to talk about it and hopes it goes away. Or, they want to talk through the problem and figure out how to resolve it. The negative terms for these are sweeping it under the rug or being confrontational. My problem with this is I am a people pleaser. I want to include everyone and make everyone happy! Do you have experience with this and know of ways to deal with it?

sunshine: June 2011
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. I seriously had lost all my energy by mile 2. My goal for an eventual time is to get a 5k in 20 minutes. It's crazy but I know if I keep this up, I will do it! Ryan has also caught the race bug and of course can do it in 27 minutes because he's a man and is all around awesome! I signed him up for 2 10ks and his goal is to be under an hour and he can totally do it, easy. How do I eat? Any advice on training? What do I do for energy? Links to this post. sunshine: Responsibility
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2014/01/responsibility.html
Wednesday, January 22, 2014. I was talking to a friend once about how she was approached by a neighbor and told that she needed to dress more modestly because she was an example to her daughter. I was just thinking about what that means to me. I understand that we all judge people by a first glance or we judge by our standards, but that doesn't mean we are better than them or that our standards are more correct then theirs. It means that we can disagree and still be charitable loving human beings.

sunshine: Judging
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/06/judging.html
Friday, June 29, 2012. Is there a reason women, or I guess people in general, feel they have to judge others? Am I really far more superior in my own world than she that I feel like I know what is best for her? Is how I'm doing things so much better than how she is living her life? I couldnt have said it better myself! Way to go for standing up and saying something! August 20, 2012 at 2:59 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). BECAUSE I SAID SO. Who Says 8 is Enough?

sunshine: November 2013
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 16, 2013. What a beautiful year it has been. It was the year to gain weight, run a half marathon, a few relays, hit our 1 year house anniversary, get one more kid in school, and actually meet all my neighbors. I haven't been on my blog in so long and I'm sure people have missed me :-) Especially because no one reads it. So, I kind of had a discovery this year. Did you know that your body burns about 1200-1400 calories just sitting around? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

sunshine: February 2012
http://ferrinfamilyadventures.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 11, 2012. We're house hunting again. I'm pretty sure we're going to actually buy one this time but I have a disturbing trend. Disturbing to Ryan. I don't ever just want the house we go to. Like I don't feel this overwhelming 'I have to have this house' that I'm waiting for. I find something wrong with almost every single one. The day after both these bids were made, I freaked out! I just wasn't sure if we were ready. Were those the houses I was willing to settle down in? The owner hous...
