Building a Berry Patch, Part 1: The Raised Beds. Each year, we try to add one more significant project to improve the farm. This year, it's putting in a small berry orchard and a nut grove. While we're waiting for our plants to arrive, we've made good progress toward building the berry patch. First of all, we've had our Guinea Hogs.

Do or do not. There is no try. January 16, 2011. Why I Hate Sundays. Posted by theambitioushousewife under Ramblings. I will admit: Sunday’s are my most stressful days. I don’t sleep well then night before (and haven’t for over ten years) and spend most of the day counting the hours until the day is done. Pretty pathetic for a day that is supposed to be the day of rest, right? The main reason I hate Sundays? And that is why I hate Sundays, and probably always will. January 6, 2011. Choice, you know?

Do or do not. There is no try. I primarily write novels that fall into the Sci Fi/Fantasy catagory but I also write some Historical Fiction and I’ve even got ideas for a few non-fiction books that I’d like to write someday, but those will have to wait for a little more life experience. Quarter Acre Farm: June
http://quarteracrefarmwa.blogspot.com/2011/06/june.html
Our little slice of farm life, raising sheep, chickens, and produce in the Upper Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Ginkgo and Jared's bird. Summer has arrived according to the calendar but the weather continues to feel a lot like Spring. Ripe strawberry, there are a lot of them. Romaine lettuce, or as I call it, tonight's dinner. Carrots are coming along. So are the beets. A little succession planting. One garden bed still waiting for soil and plants. Thistle, scratching an...

http://quarteracrefarmwa.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Our little slice of farm life, raising sheep, chickens, and produce in the Upper Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Northwest weather is notoriously unpredictable and for the last week it's been continuing to prove it. Is it cold, raining, warmer, sunny? It's actually been a good week to be sick, if there is such a thing. Maybe I can get all the sickness over with before the real work begins in mere weeks. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Here's to more sun! Lastly, my Urban ...

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. It seems like there are never enough hours in the day when you are preparing your house for sale! We had a hectic weekend this last weekend, with painting and cleaning and all sorts of other things. It is bittersweet - we are only leaving this home because we cannot afford it anymore, so now it looks clean and brand new all over again and reminds us of when we first purchased it. Please pray that we can sell the house quickly! Jessica L Buike (AuthorJess and Operation Relax).

Keeping the Faith, an IVF Journal
Keeping the Faith, an IVF Journal. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. I'm not going to lie, the last 8 months have been among the most difficult of my life. Some days it is not pretty. I am not immune to feelings of anger, sadness, isolation, jealousy, and so many ugly emotions. But I have to share that even in the darkest days of this journey, I Have Hope. My hope is not in getting a positive pregnancy test. Because, if that were my only hope, I would be left with none right now. Big toothy grin.we're ok!

Have a laugh, and keep the faith and check that baggage at the gate, 'cus hearts were made to love and lighten up." - Lyrics from Marie Bellet's song, Lighten Up. Keeping the Flame Lit | Staying Motivated and Passionate about Life
Keeping the Flame Lit. Staying Motivated and Passionate about Life. Back to the 70’s with James Taylor and Carole King. June 5, 2010. Nannette and I climbed into a time machine Thursday night and were transported back to the early 1970’s as we attended a James Taylor and Carole King Concert. Two of our favorite singers. It was great to be in our twenties again. The only problem is that the audience was filled with old people…in their 50s. Blog at WordPress.com.
