Sunday, August 08, 2010. But the minute one of them gets up, the fun starts again. This time Widget decided to catch Scarlett by the tail. He did pull, but I think she is so much that bigger that she didn't even feel the tugging. He does love watching them and reaching out for them. He likes feeling the texture of the fur. Friday, October 16, 2009. Handspun Friday - Norway. I started this yarn back in the summer during the Tour de Fleece but have just recently gotten around to getting everthing finished. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to spin this fiber. The colors are so bold and different from each other. It's hard to believe and I have no idea if it will last but it seems like I'm finally getting into a rhythm with handling all my new parent type responsibilities. Wednesday, April 04, 2012. It's been about a year and a half since I've posted on this blog. I'm still active on the internet - I occasionally post on face book, sometimes I stop in Ravelry and look around and I have done some knitting, but for the most part I've been chasing a toddler around. I do love hanging out with the under five crowd, but lately I've really missed spinning and posting on this blog. Always intending to knit a little spinning bag from your pattern - still havent yet but I will.

Sunday, August 01, 2010. Widget has been the recipient of many fine knitted gifts, most are from his grandma (my mom). She has been knitting up a storm since she found out she was to have a grandchild. I think she had about given up on the possibility, but she took to the idea with gusto! She surprised us with these monkeys on our trip home over the July 4th holiday. Heavyweight in Amber and Lapis. Knit according to pattern; no pipe cleaners used for legs or tails. Ohhow special are those!

I am forever sighing at the forever gone cute, cuddly, fat cheeked, toddling, a hug and a kiss can fix everything stage of my kids lives. Today, however, hubby and I slept until 7 AM, at which point my 13 yr. old entered our bedroom, said "Merry Christmas; it's 7:00," (indicating, obviously, a very civilized time to rise and shine).
