Knitosaurus Rex

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Monday, June 27, 2005. Hmm Much Ado About Everything. It's been a while, eh? To tell the truth, I considered not blogging anymore, but I just couldn't resist. Here is an old picture of what the Scoop du Jour twins look like. Since this picture, I have done some more on those backs. Will I ever finish these sweaters? I won't ever finish them if I get distracted. Too late. Here's the first one that I am making for one of her nieces:. And this is my gorgeous sister:.

Knitosaurus Rex: April 2005

http://knitosaurusrex.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Saturday, April 30, 2005. Here's a tip for Selvedge stitch-lovers which involves screwing up a row in a lace pattern. Okay, background info: I love the selvedge stitch. It makes everything look so pretty while you're knitting, makes seams so easy to crochet, and makes scarves look tidier. The (Sl 1st st PW, k last st) every row. Selvedge st, (10 x 8) 2, selvedge st = 84. Don't ask me why I do this. I don't know if it's because I think I'll be done faster w/o ...

Knitosaurus Rex: Distracted?

http://knitosaurusrex.blogspot.com/2005/05/distracted.html

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Monday, May 23, 2005. I messed up on the sewing of the first CCK sleeve to the CCK body tube thing, so - I'm sure y'all can relate - I angrily threw it on my dresser, and don't plan on working on it again until later this week. So, instead of making CCK progress, I cast on for Vanilla Scoop's back. But notice how I didn't even make it through Row 1? Yeah, I was distracted. Proof that I at least *tried* to work on the Scoop du Jour twins:. View my complete profile.

Knitosaurus Rex: Arizona is the BOMB!

http://knitosaurusrex.blogspot.com/2005/06/arizona-is-bomb.html

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Tuesday, June 07, 2005. Arizona is the BOMB! I've been working here in Scottsdale, Arizona since Sunday, and I'm LOVING this weather! It always feels so incredible to travel out West and experience pure heat sans humidity. The sun is so much more inviting that way! Well, I've been enjoying myself, for sure. She didn't get me. Oh, and my Secret Pal has recently contacted me and asked me where I'm moving to in California! Then in December, I'll be moving to a diffe...

Knitosaurus Rex: February 2005

http://knitosaurusrex.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Sunday, February 20, 2005. Mitered Squares Stole My Sanity. I can't stop knitting those 90 degree angled, striped wonders that are the components of the Psychedelic Squares Afghan. When I finish one, I giggle in delight as I get to pick out the colors for the next one, and I can't help but cast on. Rachele, you have a take-home test due on Tuesday. I still have plenty of time, right? Posted by racheletib at 2:17 PM. Saturday, February 19, 2005. Okay, I started a ...

Knitosaurus Rex: Vanilla and Blueberry: A Tale of Four Fronts.

http://knitosaurusrex.blogspot.com/2005/05/vanilla-and-blueberry-tale-of-four.html

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Tuesday, May 17, 2005. Vanilla and Blueberry: A Tale of Four Fronts. I finished all of the fronts of the Scoop du Jour twins, and I thought about casting on for the backs right away, but I'm tired. Also, I want to make a little CCK progress before I zoom ahead on the Scoops. Here is some proof of said four fronts:. Blueberry is 14.5" from bottom to armpit, I think. Also, today I went to buy my backtack fabric and stuff! Posted by racheletib at 9:11 PM. I'm a grad...

Scoop du Jour KAL: My Scoop..

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/my-scoop.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 17, 2005. Posted by xtina at 7:14 PM. That color is beautiful. I'm knitting the 38 inch size and it looks really big but I haven't tried it on yet. I'm a size 4 so I hope it doesn't swallow me. I'm almost done with the seaming so we'll see. Good luck with the Cotton Ease. I really like knitting with it. A girl after my own heart, here, knitting her Scoop in the blue cotton ease, just like me! Happy Knitting everyone - All Scoops look terrific! Heidi - contact page.

Scoop du Jour KAL: The Scoop Twins

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/05/scoop-twins.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. May 18, 2005. I have completed the fronts of both of my Scoop du Jour sweaters. I'd never knit 2 sweaters from the same pattern at the same time before, and it's turned out to be a great knitting experience! I work a little on one Scoop and then catch up to the same spot on the other one. I usually do Vanilla first because she is the more "difficult" of the twins. The Twisted St st makes for a pretty slow knit. Happy Scooping to all! Posted by Rachele at 8:42 PM. Heidi - contact page.

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/scoup-du-jour-continued.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 09, 2005. Scoup du Jour Continued. I will try to post photos. These were taken with a camera phone on my desk at work. Posted by Donna P at 12:53 PM. They go perfectly with the copper yarn. They go great with the yarn. I have ripped my scoop 3 times now ( don't really like the way the cotton ease is knitting up). I may hit the LYS in search of some Cotton Fleece ( love that yarn). Donna, your color looks great and I too like the buttons you chose! Heidi - contact page.

Scoop du Jour KAL: July 2005

Scoop du Jour KAL. July 14, 2005. I joined awhile back and am just getting around to posting a greeting. I've been working on my Scoop for several weeks now, juggling it with a couple of other projects (I've made a bit of progress since this photo was taken, also). I'm using Reynold's Saucy, color #178. I just love this raspberry color- it's so juicy (er, or saucy, I guess! I look forward to watching everyone's progress! Http:/ redvioletblue.typepad.com/knitopolis/. Posted by Stephy at 10:32 AM. Scoop du Jour KAL: Pattern revisions

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/pattern-revisions.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 04, 2005. I was lucky enough to get a complimentary copy of the Scoop pattern direct from Bonne Marie. But I think those of you that ordered it from her should have received an updated version with some corrections that affect the front right and left pieces. Did you all get the new version? I just got mine today, perhaps later than the rest of you. If you didn't, you might want to write to her. All my pieces are done but I haven't been able to bring myself to block them yet.

Scoop du Jour KAL: May 2005

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. May 19, 2005. Decreases on the Purl Side. How is everyone doing their decreases? I'm still on the back piece and after you bind off in the middle, you're supposed to decrease on the next 6 rows. That means you are decreasing on 3 purl rows. On the left shoulder, the purl decreases look fine but on the right shoulder, they are going off in the wrong direction. I've been doing purl 2 togethers so obviously, that isn't working for the right shoulder. Any suggestions? May 18, 2005. I cast ...

Scoop du Jour KAL: Vanilla and Blueberry:The Voyage to Sleeve Island

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/vanilla-and-blueberrythe-voyage-to.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 13, 2005. Vanilla and Blueberry:The Voyage to Sleeve Island. Well, I have about 2 days worth of knitting time until I am done with the backs of my Twin Scoops. I didn't finish them on my business trip like I'd hoped that I would, but here's a progress picture of what I did get done. So right now, I'm going to ride this ferry to Sleeve Island as I finish Blueberry's back, and then zoom through Vanilla's. Then I should be pulling up to Sleeve Island Harbor. I think we can.

Scoop du Jour KAL: My Scoop is done!

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/my-scoop-is-done.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 14, 2005. My Scoop is done! Am I the first one here to finish a Scoop? If sowow because I'm usually not so fast. Have a look at my blog. Today, and also at my gallery. For more info about my Scoop. Here is one picture for you too. It's made of Manos del Uruguay wool in #114 Bramble. I used assorted vintage buttons. I pretty much followed the pattern with the exception of some minor adjustments for row gauge (mine was too big). I made the size 38 and I really like how it fits.

Scoop du Jour KAL: Intro . . . and a question

http://scoopdujourkal.blogspot.com/2005/06/intro-and-question.html

Scoop du Jour KAL. June 29, 2005. Intro . . . and a question. I joined the KAL a few weeks ago and I'm really looking forward to seeing all the completed Scoops! I'm making mine out of Rowan DK cotton. Here's a pic from when I was just finishing the ribbing on the back. I just went ahead and used P2tog for both sides but the left side looks pretty wonky. Thanks in advance for the help! Posted by KraftyKay at 7:00 AM. Heidi - contact page. For compliments and other kind words. :). My Scoop is done!

KnitObsession

The ups and downs of a Knitter obsessed. Before I know it. Two young ladies will be here for a visit and I'll probably have no time for myself. So I'm finishing up some WIP's this week. I'm on the final rows of my baby blanket. I'll be glad when it's done, it should have been done by now but spinning took over my life. I finished 2 pairs of socks that were shipped off to California on Friday. It feels good to be using up stash instead of adding to it. Three Ewes Twisted in Fiber. Links to this post.
