Story of the Smith's: July 2009
http://justinandrachelsmith.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 20, 2009. It's been a while since I've written a post about myself, so I feel entitled a time or two to let you all know what's going on in our world besides our growing bundle of joy! Last Wednesday, I accepted a position in Abilene ISD. That means that in just two short weeks I'll be a working mom. I'm terrified but have found. In other news, we made an offer on a house tonight. I'll post more when the offer has been accepted, but pray for us! He's getting so big! They're a big hit! Let me...

http://justinandrachelsmith.blogspot.com/2010/07/fourth-of-july-fun.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. Fourth of July Fun! We had such a great 4th of July this year! Justin, Noah and I went to see my parents and go to Canton. It was so fun to wake him up to go to the fireworks! Here are a few pictures of that event. Glad to see that he gets his "slow to wake up"-ness from his mommy! Also, while we were traveling, we stayed at my dad's retreat center. Here are some of the pictures of Noah that we got while we were there. Hope you enjoy it! Justin and Rachel Smith. Voyage of the Vanns.

Saturday, February 13, 2010. This video is to show you how advanced my little boy is! Apparently, according to his Daddy, this is very advanced for a 9 month old! This video shows Noah making copies! He crawled over to the printer/copier and pressed 100, then pressed copy! So, we had 100 copies of blank paper! Such a driven little boy already! Hope you enjoyed them! Justin and Rachel Smith. Story of the Smith's: April 2009
http://justinandrachelsmith.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. At the doctor today they also took of what was left of Noah's umbilical cord, so he's officially an infant rather than a newborn. It's a very good thing, but a sad little milestone for his emotional Mom! They also poked his heel so they could do the newborn screening for the state of Texas, which was very hard on Mom and Noah, who skipped a meal so he could sleep because he was so upset from getting his heel pricked. I'll take some official two week pictures tomorrow, as that's his.

Sunday, May 31, 2009. On Saturday I took a little video of Noah on my phone. It's not a quality home movie, but it's a glimpse in to what I get to play with every day! He was seven weeks yesterday and we weighed him on Friday. He's a whopping 13 pounds, 13 ounces, which means that he gained a pound and two ounces last week alone! This is hard to believe becaues he's been sleeping more and more at night (The last three nights, he's slept between five and eight hours! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!

A more serious post. You see, in college, I remember struggling with the idea of a safe. How is pain related to love? How is God's goodness evident in times like this? Mostly, how can anyone consider this God a safe. The Pleasures of God. That does not mean that God has stopped doing. I can't. But, I kno...

Sunday, February 15, 2009. Let the bidding begin. I have the most fabulous work of art.on my leg! My mom spent about 7 hours yesterday making my cast 100% one of a kind. Can you believe this? For those of you who ever sat by me in church or school, this explains my knack for doodling. I'm already thinking of ways to display it once it's no longer a fixture on my leg. NO ONE is signing this baby except the artist! Posted by the thorntons. Monday, February 09, 2009. That means I will be in YET ANOTHER cast...

Sunday, November 23, 2008. Bah Humbug, Mr. Grinch! I made the mistake of sending out one of those getting-to-know-you questionnaires via email last week, but this one was different. It was about Christmas, which was FUN! I also made the mistake of saying that Ryan would be the least likely to reply, so he proved me wrong in a BIG way. Enjoy this post from my husband, Ryan (aka: the Grinch). His answers are far more hilarious than anything I'd ever write. And although. 1 Wrapping paper or gift bags? Every ...
