http://spencerskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/04/new-pop-up-book-for-your-library.html
Notes from the Kitchen. Monday, April 26, 2010. A New Pop-up Book for Your Library. I love pop-up books, but if they're part of our home library, they aren't books that my kids will get to read on their own for awhile. I think they're amazing, with all the detail and ingenuity that goes into each page. They're especially impressive when they are clever, and not the typical thing you'd see in any pop up book. That's why this book. April 26, 2010 at 8:28 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Notes from the Kitchen: What We're Reading
http://spencerskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-were-reading.html
Notes from the Kitchen. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. We've been spending a lot of time reading at our house, especially with the cold weather we've had the last few months. I wanted to share some of our current favorites. Lauren and I spend a lot of time reading and are always picking up loads of books at the library to try out. A lot of the books range from slightly entertaining to completely awful. Occasionally we find some that are so wonderful we have to add them to our own collection. I have special fon...

Notes from the Kitchen: April 2008
http://spencerskitchen.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Notes from the Kitchen. Monday, April 21, 2008. Lauren loves jumping, especially when we talk about how kangaroos and bunnies hop. When she first started jumping, she would just crouch down and then stand up but be as excited as if she really was bouncing around. She just recently has figured out how to get both feet going at one time, and as of just last week, she's getting air! And up in the air! Sunday, April 20, 2008. A Few New Favorite Bedtime Books. The Going to Bed Book. We love this version of.

Notes from the Kitchen. Thursday, October 29, 2009. I'm really loving this song. Right now. It's so sweet. I'm hoping Lauren's reaction to a baby sister will be mostly positive. However, I am realistic enough to know she probably won't love sharing mom and dad's attention with someone else. Right now we're all excited to be adding a new member to our family soon. Here are the lyrics to the song. We've been listening to this CD for kids the past few days and enjoying it. Family Tree by Frances England.

Notes from the Kitchen. Monday, December 22, 2008. Our Own Sugar Plum Fairy. We have our own little sugar plum fairy, and she's as cute as can be. Guess what this little fairy has asked for this Christmas? A scarf. Oh yeah, she also wants a dog and cat. I'm guessing if she's lucky she might get one of her wishes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Notes from the Kitchen. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Worth all 425 pennies we paid for it. It's been used often to run and dance in the rain. Here are some of our recent favorite books about rain to go along with our wet and soggy days. By Wong Herbert Yee. Great rhyming and fun pictures of playing in the rain.
