Monday, March 29, 2010. Sawyer turned 4 on Friday. We had a great weekend celebrating his birthday. I must say he has been talking about his birthday for the past few months and I think it lived up to his expectations. Now, Jax is ready for his birthday. I guess we will planning his for the next 6 months. Oh, to be a kid again. The festivities began on Thursday. I made ice cream cone cupcakes for Sawyer's party at MDO. I can't believe my Sawyer is 4. Monday, February 08, 2010. We tried to take a few pics of the boys before the Super Bowl. We were all so excited to cheer on the saints. Here is Sawyer's intimidation face. I am pretty sure this is part of the reason the Saints won. Sawyer kept saying, "this is a really special day." Wednesday, December 02, 2009. Next, I let Jax put the first ornament on the tree. I just bought a little tree at Hobby Lobby, but you can do any kind of tree or branch. Sawyer colored a creation picture. I decided that every night we will alternate with one boy coloring and the other hanging the ornament. What a great idea! Feb 26, 2009. I should be working on my portfolio that is due at the school board office by noon tomorrow. Two months ago I was voted Teacher of the Year for my school (2010.next year). There are a ton of requirements. I still haven't decided that it is truly an honor. It seems like more work for me to complete! I should be working on it, however, I am procrastinating! This is our blog. Monday, November 17, 2008. Shrimp Grits, of course! I do not know what shrimp grits, or shrimp and grits is supposed to be, but several months ago i came up with my own version. And, as always, each outcome is different since i never make it the same way twice. Tonight i added bacon and pickapeppa sauce (b/c i was out of tabasco) for the first time and it was great! This is our blog. Monday, June 30, 2008. Sunday, we ate at our favorite after-church-lunch-place in Fort Worth, Cafe Modern. It is the restaurant inside the Modern Art Museum. The menu changes four times a year to go along with the four seasons. As of yesterday, we have experienced all four seasons/menus. Sep 24, 2008. In less than a month my sweet little boy will be a year old. For the past few weeks he has taken a step here and there. Then on Saturday he walked the length of the coffee table. 17 steps to be exact! Soon there will be no stopping him! Anna too is getting older. She started first grade this year and absolutely LOVES school! During the storm she commented that she was bored. When I asked her what she wanted to do, her answer was "Go to school! I'm 28.I'm not supposed to have gray hair!
