Riley's Garden: Early Starters
http://blacklandprairiegarden.blogspot.com/2010/01/early-starters.html
Watch as I bend nature to my will. Thursday, January 21, 2010. I bought a simple Rubbermaid 24 x 12 shallow container to hold the trays. I planted the seeds in peat strips which will decompose when planted (50 individual pots in 10-pot trays). Each 5 pot strip held one type of plant, in Ladybug Seed Starter mix. Which you can see labeled on the side of the container:. This is about 2 weeks after planting. All the tomatoes have sprouted, just now the peppers, especially the Habanero, are coming up.

Musings from the Texas Hill Country: January 2011
http://musingsfromthehill.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Hmmm, why not start digging a trench around that garden so black plastic edging can installed to outline the garden area. It'll be easier to mow or use a weedeater without destroying growing veggies and melons. Again, hmmm, think I'll pull a couple of weeds while here along this row. Approximately 3-1/2 hours later I came in for brunch, consisting of fresh baked, sliced chicken on whole wheat with...

http://musingsfromthehill.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. It has been a week since the asparagus were put in the ground. I'm amazed at the growth. The spears are not harvested the first year after planting the year-old crowns. According to eHow. The spears need to fern out for the roots to grow stronger. Artichokes are said to be easy to grow. This one had no leaves when planted last Sunday, February 20. I gave it a growth boost with Miracle-Gro time release fertilizer. Until next time, God bless. Sunday, February 27, 2011. The Farmer...

The Shovel-Ready Garden: June 2014
http://shovelreadygarden.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Stimulating growth, one seed at a time. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Hey, I can grow food! This is the most productive year my veggie garden has ever had. Three Sisters' bed in front, potato patch in back. I've been cultivating this plot of land since 2005 and all the hard work is really starting to pay off. Over the past month, I've harvested pounds and pounds of potatoes,. Tatume' squash. The large ones are firm like spaghetti squash, the small ones are tender like zucchini. Boston' and 'lemon' cucumbers.
