Thursday, August 29, 2013. Trips to the West. The lats couple of weeks, I've been in Colorado for a meeting and then in Montana to see family. (Brendon flew with the girls to Denver, met up with me and we went to Montana together.) All in all, it was 2.5 weeks of gloriously non-humid weather, [real] mountains, and a wonderful time with family and friends! Steamboat Springs is such a wonderful location for a science conference. Missy and I taking a break from a hike. Ev loved digging in grandma's dirt!

Saturday, January 3, 2009. Like most families, we work around the schedules of our children so they can also enjoy Christmas with their in-laws. We had the JOY of two Christmases, one on Christmas Day and the other on New Year's Day. Fun was had by all at each celebration. Christmas Day included enjoying watching Tristan and Sofia discover that Santa had brought Tristan a shiny new bike and Sofia a beautiful doll house! Of course during all of our celebrating it snowed and snowed and snowed!

Cora Jane- 8 months. Cora was 8 months old on Friday! She's getting to be a big girl. Babbling like crazy. No crawling yet, but we think it may be quite soon! Saturday, April 27, 2013. Annie rocks the Country Music 1/2 Marathon! In the spirit of Cora, she went out there "chill cakes" style and pegged a great 1/2 marathon.

Sunday, January 12, 2014. It's been an eventful couple of months here in Nashville, so you'll have to excuse our online absence. Our little family will never be the same. As for me, this summer I'll have been a postdoc at Vanderbilt for 3 years and 1 year as an Instructor. I just had another paper provisionally accepted, and received a private foundation grant (my first ever! So many things going on. Thanks for all of your support. Did I mention it was 2 degrees here for a week, with a -10 wind chill?

Friday, July 2, 2010. We are still working on finding him a versatile comforter and bed frame. Tonight was his first night in the big boy bed and he fell right asleep and is still comfy and sleeping in his bed. It's a very bittersweet event for me personally. Taking down the crib struck some emotions. I just can't believe how fast my baby is growing up! Last night in his crib. Laughing on his bed. Down for the count! A little of this, a little of that. Fun in the Sun! Waiting "patiently" to go to the park.
