Check out all the shenanigans going on at Mark and Laurie's! Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Boo-ter later than never! Mark and I carved two pumpkins this year and entered them in a contest at his work. Mine is supposed to be a dog (of course) with the words "Happy Howl-o-ween" on the back and Mark's has a bunch of different leaves around the entire thing. Sadly, we did not win! As I type this it is actually November 11, Veteran's Day. Today is a parent-teacher conference day, so no school for me! My Blog Lis...

Bill's Occasional Blog: City Living: Street Cats, Tiny Trucks, and Korean Carrots

Preserving and sharing memories. Tuesday, November 8, 2011. City Living: Street Cats, Tiny Trucks, and Korean Carrots. Steet kitties. Meow! Binge drinking is not only a Western problem! Scott and I have encountered many red-faced students and grown men on the streets and in the subway. Certain hard liquors are ridiculously cheap here which doesn't help, I'm sure. High-speed train travel is one of the best parts of being in Korea. I particularly like that people are very quiet on the train. June 2 - June 9.

Well, if you lived in Wisconsin during the month of March, you certainly experienced the truth of the old saying "March comes in like a and out like a ." In this case, March came in like a lamb, with sunny, calm days that were warm enough to melt the majority of the snow, but definitely a very large lion came out at the end of the month! Happy Birthday, Leila! After each girl served the ball, they w...

Check out all the shenanigans going on at Mark and Laurie's! Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Last week Mark and I had our niece, Emma, over for a two day/two night fun-filled extravaganza! Emma is 9 years old and will be starting the fourth grade this year, so she is at a really fun (and pretty low-maintenance:) age. Designing and sewing her own doll clothes. Making her own toys (in this case a camera and this camera certainly morphed into something more detailed). Cooking (she made breakfast from scratch.
