What I'm up to on my year abroad. Bruges Christmas Market with Nan. March 17, 2014. Officially Belgium has 3 languages: French, Flemish (Dutch with a funny accent) and German. The north of Brussels is mostly Flemish speaking and the south more French. All the road signs/ shops are in two languages. Here’s some photos from our day. After a few gluhweins (mulled wine) we were feeling very merry. It was so nice to see my lovely Nan! Housemates, working at the Parliament and visiting Strasbourg.

What I'm up to on my year abroad. Conference, vintage market and cinema. December 9, 2013. This Conference also involved me transporting that massive. Lion (he’s our trusty mascot) to the hotel. Got some w. Since I’ve been here I also met up with Lulu Malvisi (a friend from primary school who is on her semester abroad here). We went for a dinner at a great little Japanese restaurant with two friends from her university, Anissa and Annie. Lulu enjoyed trying on some hats meant for people with dreadlocks.
