Thursday, March 20, 2014. Setting the record straight on Rev. Charles George Seely. One of my ancestors is the Seely family. For the past thirty years, I've done alot of Seely research, and found a great deal of wrong information that continues to be taken as "fact.". One of the most prominent ones, is the confusion over Charles George Seely and his son Charles Harvey Seely. On the 1880 Census, Charles Seely and his wife Synthia are still in Osage Township in Benton County, Arkansas. The two remainin...

Monday, April 20, 2015. Aunt Rosie Deaton's All American Slum-Guillion-The Best. Book cover by ernest Matthew Mickler). I love to look through old recipe books. Ya never know what you will find, either resulting in a "I just have to try that" - or a good laugh. Either way, recipe books can be fun, educational and even make you miss your mama's cooking. Thankfully, I left Florida long ago, and have my feet planted firmly in the deep south . and still love White Trash Cooking. Saturday, April 11, 2015.

http://gayle-family-history.blogspot.com/2015/04/downsizing-and-going-paperless.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Downsizing and Going Paperless. I am currently "down-sizing" and clearing my genealogy office of paper notes, scraps, and census pages I have entered into my Legacy program. If you have the same problem, and feel like the "paperwork" is about to bury you - consider a general clean out. I have been amazed at the amount of junk I cleared out so far. Special thanks to Dick Eastman on this excellent reminder. This article contains personal opinions. Sadly, I almost never opened the ...
