In 2009, I took the position as Overland’s Africa Expedition Coordinator, where I oversaw the operating logistics of our Africa expeditions, planned out the ministry for the teams, trained expedition leaders, and lead our short term teams throughout southern Africa. My heart is for the remote, unreached areas of the world and for the rural pastors and leaders whom we work alongside. My goal is to see the indigenous churches empowered and on fire for the Word of God. Current Projects- Mukuni-Sekute Sector.

The door is open, letting the cool breeze flow through the house and the setting sun is filling the sky with the most vibrant red, orange, and purple colors. I'm home and it feels amazing! We went bowling and had over 2 dozen youth show up for a fun night of bowling, pizza and craziness. Animal stories - Laura had many stories about wild animals in Africa. She has seen elephants, lions, crocidiles, hippos, giraffes, rhinos, snakes and monkeys! She was even sprayed with venom by a cobra at night!

As a missionary I often find coming back home to America a big adjustment. I don't realize how much I've adapted to the Zambian culture until I find myself back home. Then there's always the first trip to the grocery store or Wal-Mart! The many options can be so overwhelming. An entire aisle for crackers? In Zambia we wave at everyone as we pass! You know, those tiny details that sometimes escape our everyday notice. Or the things that we somehow get in our head that is for us to take care of. Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr mit Kiekare in Guadalajara 2012/2013. 2 Oktober 2012 von lauratuuli. In den letzten zwei Wochen ist so viel passiert, dass ich gar nicht weiß, wo ich anfangen soll. Ich habe tatsächlich innerhalb einer Woche ein Stück vom Süden, und eines vom Norden Mexikos sehen können, da wir Camps in. Hatten. Unglaublich, in so kurzer Zeit so große Unterschiede vorgeführt zu bekommen! Die Regionen wirken wie zwei ganz verschiedene Staaten. Befindet sich im Südosten Mexikos, im Bundesstaat.

Laura in mpls - new city, new life, new blog. August 16, 2010. In the Heat of August. And now it's August. Classes start up at SCSU next week, I do not know where summer has gone! Well, the most exciting news of the last month is that Brian recently accepted a new job offer at St. Cloud State! We moved up to the area last week, which means no more commuting for me!
