Paris Ankara Express: We are going on a summer holiday!
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2010/06/we-are-going-on-summer-holiday.html
We are going on a summer holiday! This is the first and last time you'll see me naked on this blog. Actually, not quite naked: what on earth am I wearing? We've got a few posts scheduled for when we're away. And Sister3 is staying (she's grounded) so you can count on her to come up with something brilliant for the Sticky Finger gallery. Now if you get bored while we're gone, I can recommend a few things for you to go and see. It's called From Autist to Artist. And it's so amazing that Jenny the Bloggess.

Paris Ankara Express: September 2011
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
All I can do. A couple of years ago, Rachel Cohen-Ruttenberg wrote on her blog. About Simon Baron-Cohen's claims regarding empathy and autism. You're wrong, she said. Autistic people do have empathy. In fact, they very often have too much, which leads to a sort of paralysis of response. What do you do when the outside world is seeping through every pore of your being? This questionaire even has a proper scientific name: the AQ. For autism quotient. And the you can find it on the web to find out if yo...

Paris Ankara Express: June 2011
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
You're talking to me? For this week's writer's workshop. Over at Mama Kat's Losing it. I picked prompt #1, mainly because it's a list. Also, Sandrine asked me to write a list on Facebook and I tend to do as she says, otherwise I'll be in trouble. I know, she lives in Ankara, I in Paris, but still, she can be pretty convincing. So here's 10 things I'd like to say to strangers who share unsolicited advice about my parenting skills (some of which I've actually said). 6- Do you have children? I'm sorry, they...

Paris Ankara Express: Boys and girls at play.
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2012/01/boys-and-girls-at-play.html
Boys and girls at play. There's been a lot of talk lately in the UK. And everywhere on the internet, about the gender division of toys. Hamleys recently re-organised their toys according to interest, rather than gender. This was shortly after their headquarters were contacted by feminist blogger Delilah. But what of the boys who would play war? What of their parents who are 'powerless' to do anything about it, because, after all, they don't buy toy guns? Can't we just say no? Sandrine, help me embed this?

Paris Ankara Express: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2010/06/nobody-expects-spanish-inquisition.html
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Very Bored in Catalunya. Is going around interrogating people. And she tagged me. So I'll answer her questions (under pressure - no! Don't bring out the comfy chair! And then tag a few hapless bloggers with questions of my own. 1 If you could possess one super power for a day, what would it be? Ooh, that's a good start! VB is handing out super powers. Hum, let me think. Eyes at the back of my head? Got that. Ability to be in two places at once? A pebble on the beach.

Paris Ankara Express: Meet the Rabbits family!
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2010/06/meet-rabbits-family.html
Meet the Rabbits family! So one Christmas, two years ago, we decided to make him a doll's house out of cardboard. We populated it with some playmobil rabbits and a little porcelain doll. We furnished it slowly. We used construction paper for the walls. It's lasted a lot longer than we expected it to, although it looks worse for wear! The kitchen is a bit bare for now, but we've just received a big playmobil fridge from ebay, filled with goodies, which we'll give Max for his birthday next week. At Christm...

Paris Ankara Express: August 2011
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Some day, people will say I didn't write my own books. I've been digging into the x-chromosome side of the history of philosophy lately. As soon as my manuscript on Mary Wollstonecraft ( without. Was off to the publishers, I started reading Christine de Pizan. Then I had a bright idea and went further back. I knew that Abelard was studied in courses on Medieval philosophy. What about Heloise. In another three or four centuries, we might actually reach equal proportions. Never lose hope. Which brings me t...

Paris Ankara Express: July 2011
http://paris-ankara.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Of cat and men. I think I'm fed up with my cat. It's really disturbing, because I love my cat. I like it. I mean, not as much as I used to like it, but still. I remember how it used to be at the beginning. I was all over it, cuddled it, though it was the cutest thing ever. I was thrilled that it would come to my bed and purr at night. I sometimes try and talk to my cat, but seriously, who am I kidding? How can a cat understand what I'm saying? 1 comments - click here to leave us a comment! Judge me for m...
