See links below for other posts, pics, and video. Monday, July 27, 2015. Amy's work leave ends this week. Asher has been such a delight, and the experience of being a full-time stay-at-home mom so precious, that this impending return to normalcy is bittersweet. But no matter how re-entry goes and what is next for us as a family, we will always have these precious first months of Asher's life in our memory bank. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Huang Kid Khronicles: Off Again
http://huangkids.blogspot.com/2015/08/off-again.html
See links below for other posts, pics, and video. Monday, August 03, 2015. Our oldest is off to sleepaway camp again. She loves these, being off on her own, making new friends, being in nature, learning about God. This is now her fifth such trip, and she packs more easily and independently from all the practice. I'm going to blink and it'll be time for her to pack up for college. They grow up so fast! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Page Views Since Jun 2005. Huang Family Newsletter, July 2016.

Huang Kid Khronicles: More Steward Than Protector
http://huangkids.blogspot.com/2015/08/more-steward-than-protector.html
See links below for other posts, pics, and video. Saturday, August 08, 2015. More Steward Than Protector. I am like any parent in that a big part of my job description and a big part of how my heart works is that I need to protect my kids. When we discovered that the way Asher's feet are turned was causing him to rub multiple layers of skin off of his pinky toes, my heart sank from this relatively minor wound. I have been known to have "mama bear". I'm sure my kids know that I love them to death and woul...

things too wonderful: May 2012
http://ohbadiah.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
ELIJAH WAS A MAN WITH A NATURE LIKE OURS. Sunday, May 27, 2012. Is it a good thing or a bad thing that we can record music? Meaning, on balance, are we better or worse off because we have this capability? It is hard for me to answer that question because I do not know much about what it was like before recording, and it is impossible to picture a world in which all else is the same but for the absence of this one technology. Nevertheless, I think the question is worth asking. America has consistently cho...

things too wonderful: Epic Commuting
http://ohbadiah.blogspot.com/2013/05/epic-commuting.html
ELIJAH WAS A MAN WITH A NATURE LIKE OURS. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Since starting a new job my morning commute consists of a four-mile bike ride uphill to Overbrook Train Station, where the R5 carries me onward to work at Radnor. That is unless it rains, in which case I take West Chester Pike to the Blue Route. On the car route, just into Upper Darby one meets the Three Sisters. At a similar point in the bike commute one meets Girard: Graveyard of the Proud. The foolhardy biker might meet the gradual incli...
