So, those of you who've been reading my blog for a while will recall my rant about people who are unwilling to try new things. The upshot of it was, if I were presented with the opportunity to eat bugs, then I'd have to take it or I'd be a total hypocrite. Tuesday, I was presented with just such an opportunity.and I took it. And you know, they were actually pretty good!

My recipes were limited by the fact that I didn't want to buy 2 dozen ingredients, and I don't like coconut. I briefly considered making spring rolls, but didn't want to deal with the wrapping and frying. I figured an omelette would be pretty easy, and a salad even easier. 2 tomatoes, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced.

Back in August, Alabama released their plan to impose a fat tax on state employees. Basically, each employee will get a medical screening, which includes a BMI test (and we know my feelings about that. And medication screenings. Those considered obese or who have high blood pressure, high glucose, or high cholesterol will have to pay an extra $25/month starting in 2011.

Zen and The Art of Leg Shaving. Unexpected benefit to doing yoga discovered today while washing away the hard-earned sweat of an elliptical run. I can now lift and hold my leg at an impossible angle against the back wall of the shower with ease. Zen and The Art of Leg Shaving. I think this is goodbye. I hate it when blogs don’t have a farewell post, and I’ve been putting it off because I didn’t want to admit that it was over. But it is. And, I’m happy to report, it’s not over because I gave up. It’s over because it served its purpose. I got the motivation I needed and the help from fellow bloggers and commenters that I needed in order to not only stick with this, but to feel damn good about myself while I did it. I totally do my own laundry.
