NOT just another WordPress.com site. Made-to-Order Teaching: I’m lovin’ it. I really liked both of the videos for this week. I especially enjoyed the analogy. Made, comparing teaching to the food service industry. I think in analogies a lot of the time, so I could really appreciate what he was saying. Since watching it, I’ve been dying to play with it and expand the analogy even further. Fast food. What if you aren’t part of the mainstream? Okay, so if. Is supposed to adapt to the. Is that even possible?

NOT just another WordPress.com site. My sentence is…. Is technology necessary in the classroom? Given the realities of our modern age and the demands of our children’s future, is it really ok to allow teachers to choose whether or not they incorporate modern technologies into their instruction? NOT just another WordPress.com site. The Future of Teaching. When I read this blog post, The future of learning. I couldn’t help but think of our SPED 317 class this week, where a specialist for students with visual impairments showed us some of the iPad apps she uses with her students. NOT just another WordPress.com site. Is primarily about a video of a talk Will Richardson gave, and I went ahead and embedded the link. I really like how Richardson described the internet as something that allows students to learn information or skills. When they want to learn it,. They want to learn it and. At their own pace. Parents and teachers probably have individual opinions on this one. Twittering about Education…Again. Twittering, Twittering, Twittering…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

librarianconnection | join me on the road
Join me on the road. July 30, 2014. The past two years has gone by in a blur, but I have spent mostof my waking hours in one public library or another. Have I learned a thing or two? I’ve learned that a library is an organization that has an administrative hierarchy and that hierarchy pretty much calls the shots. As a librarian, I am committed to the free exchange of ideas and information, which are the basis of most mission statements. The collection itself requires constant monitoring, weeding, and rep...

Spokane School Libraries | Directed fieldwork across two public school districts
Directed fieldwork across two public school districts. I have split my directed fieldwork experience between two site supervisors in two very different school library situations. Both districts are struggling with creative solutions to fully serve their students when library time doesn’t look like it used to. Because libraries are a low priority for school districts in our area, libraries have to come up with creative solutions to stay relevant and in the budget. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
