I have to admit that I was interested in almost everything I learned. In the Wild Wood: Week 9, Thing #21 - Podcasts

http://librarystrong.blogspot.com/2008/03/week-9-thing-21-podcasts.html

In the Wild Wood. Sunday, March 2, 2008. Week 9, Thing #21 - Podcasts. I tried podcast.net to look but the link doesn't seem to work. I tried yahoo podcasts but those seemed to be mostly music. So, I just went to google and typed in podcasts in conjunction with other search terms, such as elementary school libraries, knitting, and gardening, just to see what's out there. I listened to a knitting podcast, Knitting News Cast. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Week 9, Thing #23 - Summary.

In the Wild Wood: January 2008

http://librarystrong.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

In the Wild Wood. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Week 4, Thing #8 and #9 RSS. I started out by exploring Google Reader and setting that up and then I checked out Bloglines and created an account there. For some reason, the Google Reader appeals to me more. Perhaps it's because it appears on my Google Home Page and so it is readily available. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's blog on RSS to see what use they have made of it. Sunday, January 20, 2008. Week 3, Thing #7 Technology Thoughts. Oh, I did find...

In the Wild Wood. Saturday, March 8, 2008. Week 9, Thing #22 - Zoho. I will try Zoho writer again in writing this post. Maybe this time I'll figure out how to have the emoticons upload along with the text. While at the Project Gutenberg site, I saw links to the Kindle. I don't think I did anything differently than you in uploading from Zoho- just followed directions on that site. Maybe it's computer settings that prevent/allow the emoticons? I've enjoyed reading your blog- fun w/the physics class!

In the Wild Wood: Week 7, Thing #16 - Wikis

http://librarystrong.blogspot.com/2008/02/week-7-thing-16.html

In the Wild Wood. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Week 7, Thing #16 - Wikis. I've spent quite a bit of time looking at wikis, and then reading the blogs of those who have already done this. I appreciated the suggestions that many of you made as to how to use a wiki in a library setting. It seems like most librarians who have started wikis are in secondary schools. I would like to see more from elementary schools. February 28, 2008 at 6:51 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Week 7, Thing #16 - Wikis.

Library Student Diaries | Reflections and ramblings from a part-time postgraduate student

Reflections and ramblings from a part-time postgraduate student. Public libraries – more than ‘just’ books. April 16, 2016. What a silly title for a blog post. Books are never ‘just’ books. Books are one of the best things in the world, if you ask me. And my parents would have gone bankrupt, had they had to buy all the books I took out from the public library as a kid. And yet, public libraries offer so much more than ‘just’ books. 1 There is the Reading Well Books on Prescription scheme. This is a schem...

Reflecting on Professional Issues module. I admit I was initially reluctant about Professional Issues as a module as it sounded much too administrative for my liking. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover how much I enjoyed and gained from Professional Issues. I found small class size and the compulsory blogging encouraged me to reflect both on issues in library world and on developing my skills. Having that … Continue reading →.
