I am a 42 year old British Muslim who converted to Islam while living in the UAE way back in 1999. I lived in Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Ajman for 13 wonderful years and was only forced to leave in 2004 when my short marraige to a Morrocan ended, so I could make sure my daughter was with me always. My blog is to re awaken all my wonderful memoirs of my life in UAE (not a typical expat life at all) and to talk about my life now, back in the UK coping with being a muslim mama.
