Life on Island : oTENTik at Cavendish, PEI National Park
http://www.lifeonacanadianisland.blogspot.com/2014/09/otentik-at-cavendish-pei-national-park.html
Friday, September 26, 2014. OTENTik at Cavendish, PEI National Park. Last night, a friend and I visited the Cavendish campground at the PEI National Park. For an open house hosted by PEI National Park showcasing the new oTENTik tents. OTENTik Tents are a great idea and different option available for accommodations, a cross between a small cabin and a large tent! The chairs are so nice, I really liked the detail of the Parks Canada logo on them. Just down a path, you can find the beach. It was a beaut...

http://www.lifeonacanadianisland.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-closer-look-at-flowers-dissecting.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. A Closer Look at Flowers Dissecting Flowers and More! This past week was the second week of the Mud Puddles Nature Summer Camp. And the focus was on flowers. We learned so much about flowers! We first studied flower anatomy and type of flowers. Celeste's favourite activity was dissecting the flowers to look for the different parts. She especially enjoyed dissecting the bleeding heart flower, as well as looking for the ovary and ovule in each flower. Celeste and I also played the ...

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. My Favourite French TV Cartoons Growing Up. If you know me personally or read this blog regularly, you might already know that I was born in and lived in France and Monaco until I moved to Canada at the age of 18. Now that I am a little older, I enjoy looking back at some of my childhood memories, the nicer ones. Maya l'Abeille I think there is a newer version of this now, I remember really liking this little bee and her adventures when I was little:. Le Manege Enchante This o...
Life on Island : My Etsy Shop!
http://www.lifeonacanadianisland.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-etsy-shop.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. In May 2015, I made a happy colour bag for a friend. I had made these type of tote bags for many years,. But this time it was a little different. I felt a need to make many more, and for the first time ever, the desire to let other people adopt them (in other words sell them). I love making happy, colourful, and useful things. I decided to revive. Happy Colour Tote Bags. My shop is named " AlexDekerf. The Happy Colour Bag I gave to my friend, which started this adventure! Life o...
Life on Island : The Magic of Tidying Up ~ The KonMari Method
http://www.lifeonacanadianisland.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-magic-of-tidying-up-konmari-method.html
Saturday, February 21, 2015. The Magic of Tidying Up The KonMari Method. For the last few months, I have noticed friends on Instagram. Mentioning a little book called " the life-changing magic of tidying up: the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing" by Marie Kondo. I was curious about it and investigated a little. I visited the local book store to have a closer look. I shared this quote from the book, one of my favourites:. This morning, I gathered all my clothes, including out of season, coats, s...

The Real Homeschooler: January 2014
http://therealhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 19, 2014. Do you want to know what I did after my dad died? I looked up the Stages of Grief. What is this natural order of feelings? I wanted a list. I wanted to know that I was "normal." Do you know why it is hard to find a definite order of grieving list? So there is a new me. A new me who now has reality and it sucks. I lived in a bubble for 34 years of blissful nothing-can-happen-to-me-or-my-world and I enjoyed it. Monday, January 6, 2014. What is Ron doing? Well he has this week off ...
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa: Day 215
http://lauraperic.blogspot.com/2015/08/day-215.html
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa. Monday, August 03, 2015. Such a crazy day. Levi woke up with a little red rash on the right side of his face as well as some swelling there too. So after a quick call to 811 we booked an appointment with our doctor. I was so very glad to get in so quickly. Marko came home from work and we were able to drop the other three children off with our friends the MacGregors. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 5 Minutes for Mom. Education is a Life. http://therealhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. I have so many pictures to share. I will write now and the next time I post I will post some pictures. So what has been happening in our lives? We are still selling our house. Because of the holidays it has kind of been put on hold. We haven't had any calls and quite frankly we wouldn't have been ready! Our Christmas decorations have been put away and we are just finishing up with tidying. Hopefully we will get some calls now that the holidays are over. I am so blessed. I am a ...

The Real Homeschooler: November 2012
http://therealhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Life isn't perfect.or is it? Life happens whether we want it to or not. Little legs will get stuck in table chairs. Yogurt will get in the baby's hair. Kids will get sick (so will parents! And kids will argue. (Again, so will parents! My children are not learning anything! It is ok because it is life. It is ok because we love them and care. I have learned over the years to just relax and enjoy life with our family. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life on a Canadian Island.

The Real Homeschooler: July 2015
http://therealhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Where it all began. I would like to think that this all began when I became a parent. When I took my blinders off and saw the world in a fresh new light. In a parent light. Where it all began. This would be dishonest. I would have to start back in my elementary school years. Back when all seemed innocent. When optimism and naivety were at their highest. I remember being a part of a small school with the same teachers for 8 years. That gave me comfort. That shaped me. So I look b...

This morning Nate went on his date with Grammie Peric while the others came with me to clean the chapel. We came home prepared some sandwich stuff and scrambled back into the car to head to Charlottetown. We stopped at three different bookstores before heading to the West Royalty Sobeys to meet up with Jennie. What a fun morning!
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa: 02/15
http://lauraperic.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa. Saturday, February 28, 2015. It's my mom's birthday today and what better way to celebrate than post it on the ol' blog with an old picture of her and Levi. I love my mom, she is amazing, funny and has an incredible zest for life. She has beaten cancer twice, a brain tumour and numerous other obstacles that have come her way. She loves her grand children and spoiling them with Smarties on every visit. Can't wait to visit together again at Easter time. Friday, February 27, 2015.
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa: Day 217
http://lauraperic.blogspot.com/2015/08/day-217.html
Kids, Cookies and Cocoa. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. Why does this summer feel like it's just whipping on by? It feels like the MacGregors just got here and now today we had to say good-bye. They leave early Friday morning to head back to Quebec. I don't the kids or Jackie or I really wanted to visit to end. The kids wanted to keep playing and Jackie and I kept coming up with topics we just needed. Also impressive is just how wide Nate can open his mouth! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life, On A Bridged
Life, On A Bridged. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Grand Avenue Bridge (AKA Dragon Bridge), New Haven, Connecticut. My best friend texted me this morning, asking what bridge I was going to hunt today. I wasn't planning on hunting any. Note to self: still need to do laundry. The Grand Avenue Bridge connects the Fair Haven and Fair Haven Heights neighborhoods across the Quinnipiac River. It swings upon signal during the day. Detail of the bridge house. I've read rumors that this bridge is due to close permanently...

An Awfully Big Adventure
An Awfully Big Adventure. Wednesday, September 06, 2006. This post deleted on request. Posted by Joël @ 4:36 PM. Thursday, August 10, 2006. Today is a Happy Blog Day. In my ongoing quest to Know Everything Before I Die, I've found that, typically, Thursdays are usually the worst day of the week for people. Thursdays usually crop up before Fridays (which are most people's happiest days) and are usually found near the end of the week, when people realise the weekend is still over 24 hours away. Anyway, the...
