Monday, July 25, 2011. Treats from the Street. One of my favourite summer treats in our neighbourhood is a mango lassi from East is East. An Indian restaurant nearby. They have a take-out window where you can order up all kinds of treats - but I admit, I've rarely strayed from my usual. A post-dinner walk through the neighbourhood on a late, light evening, is made perfect when it's topped off by a cool, tangy cup filled with exotic flavours of mango, yogurt, rosewater and cardamom. A couple weeks ago, the Middle-Cat bought me a costume that she wanted me to wear on Halloween. She wanted me to dress up like a chicken.
