July 24th, 2016. Summer in Wisconsin; raindrops, green grass, and lightning bugs. Abundant drawing and painting happening early in the morning, late at night, and everywhere in between. Bliss. Current projects include a set of 5 nutcrackers, coffee and pen drawings, and oil paintings depicting current reality. There is nothing more constant than change". My work has morphed over the years, simply because I'm always discovering new pathways within my psyche. 2013-14 brought the shapeshifting animal and human figure to the forefront and was well received. A new chapter began in mid-2014 with the direction of my new work. Three disparate themes run through my current work: cartography, sexuality, and the complexities of food in relation to intestinal health.

She's Boxing Clever. To die would be an awfully big adventure…. May 20, 2011 at 11:53 pm ( Random Thoughts. Didn’t the “second coming” already happen, three days after the Crucifixion, for forty days before the Ascension? Thankfully, there are only 140 corpses in our local cemetery, so the Zompocolypse should be short lived in our town. May 21, 2011 at 12:51 am. May 26, 2011 at 3:37 pm. Thursday, December 18, 2014. 8220;Don’t be afraid, my beard is long, my head is large, my look is grim but that matters not. I won’t bite you. In spite of my big mouth and grim appearance, I look with my heart for your happiness.”. Would my paintings recycle if they could? Would my paintings say hello to people on the street and strike up a conversation? Would my paintings watch tv and read People magazine and such? Look at any photo of Katharine Hepburn. Read her book. Apparently, I'm not the only one.

She's Boxing Clever. March 30, 2010 at 9:16 am ( Home and Country. Raid on the chicken coop. It was a bloodbath on the “farm” this morning. I walked out on the deck for my early am survey of the land to a scene from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Holy Hannah, what a mess! While I stood there, gobsmacked, I heard the phone ring inside the house. Who the hell’s phoning me THIS early in the morning? Death, he was a-calling. 8220;G’mornin’ Mike”. 8220;So…ahhh, you guys missing a white chicken? I hope it was at...

She's Boxing Clever. May 26, 2011 at 5:04 pm ( Random Thoughts. I debated with myself for days over sharing recent events, because really, I’m not looking for any sort of sympathies, but I figured over the next several months I’d make references that wouldn’t be understood without explanations so it was probably best if I let you all in on the details in advance. So here we go, in the best chronological order I can remember…. Next up, murder. Yep. The daughter of a very close friend was murdered ...And t...
Magic Molecules: October 2009
http://magicmolecules.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 6, 2009. So I shall leave this post with some recent art I created for one of those amazing women - Jennifer R.D. I was lucky enough to meet Jenn in person TWICE and spend some time with her. What a joyous soul, indeed! Her theme was WINDOWS and I chose RED AND PINK as my main colors. It is simple, but meaningful. It is about opening your soul to sunlight, to sisters, to nature, to life. I hope you enjoy your pages, sweet girl! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lisa Albinger Art: Pear-Honey-Brie
https://lisaalbinger.blogspot.com/2014/08/pear-honey-brie_30.html
Saturday, August 30, 2014. 36" x 23", acrylic and collage on panel. August 2014, available. I eat a lot of fruit. It is typical for me to have 5-7 servings a day. This particular Friday I sat in front of the board eating a brown pear, trying to conjure up a great image, asking the painting what it wanted to express. Which variety of pear it was, I'm unsure. A Google search provided no definite answer. But oh it was so bland. I sat in front of my new piece with the pear wondering. How can this be?
