Living the Infertile Life: August 2013
http://www.livingtheinfertilelife.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Living the Infertile Life. Saturday, August 31, 2013. A Few Infertility Funnies. We got up this morning and had breakfast with the in-laws. We haven't been over to visit them in awhile, so it was nice. I ate way too much and now have resigned myself to an afternoon vegging out on the couch. Maybe this evening I'll muster up the energy to do something productive around the house. Friday, August 30, 2013. Thursday, August 29, 2013. Babies, Babies, Babies. At least tomorrow is a short day at work. It is...
Living the Infertile Life: January 2014
http://www.livingtheinfertilelife.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Living the Infertile Life. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. I am back from our transfer and it couldn't have went better. If you remember from my previous post my clinic grades embryos on a scale of 1-3 with 1 being the best and 3 being the worst. They found no difference in pregnancy rates between grade 1 and grade 2 blasts. We transferred one grade 1 expanded blast and one grade 2 early blast. I am officially PUPO! Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Day 28 of IVF #3. I won't get anymore updates on my embryos until...

Living the Infertile Life. Sunday, August 3, 2014. I'll admit that I might be the world's worst blogger. The last few months have been an emotional roller coaster and I had to step away for awhile. I needed some time off just to put the pieces back together. Now that I am back, let's see if I can give a brief update on what's been going on the last few months. August 3, 2014 at 3:44 PM. I am so hopeful for you Twinkie! August 3, 2014 at 5:15 PM. August 3, 2014 at 8:29 PM. August 6, 2014 at 2:20 PM. Tryin...

Monday, March 10, 2014. I've been a bad blogger! I have been soooo bad about blogging lately! I think mostly because I am too lazy to do the chalkboards! Anyway, we are officially half baked over here! 20 MORE weeks until I get to meet my boy! I am also super grateful for that! I am thankful for...

The Happy Life Plan: Breastfeeding Sucks
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015/02/breastfeeding-sucks.html
Sunday, February 8, 2015. No pun intended. I had no idea that it was possible to absolutely hate and love something simultaneously. If I had had a free minute to write this last week, it would have been another doom and gloom post but - SPOILER ALERT - this tale has a happy ending. Or least a happy middle. Hopefully our breastfeeding saga is far from over. And hopefully it remains a happy tale. It just seemed unfair. Post-feeding snuggles are my favorite. February 9, 2015 at 8:17 AM. So at our weekly app...
The Happy Life Plan: January 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. 1) The fucking bili blanket. I know there are much worse things that a new baby and new parents have to deal with, but the bili blanket sucked too. It was hard to hold him. It sucked to see him uncomfortable. It was tough to feed him on the blanket and when he was off the blanket, I felt like we had to rush through feedings to get him back on the lights quickly. I'm actually convinced that the hospital and the medical supply company are running some kind of scam. I never h...
The Happy Life Plan: Free Time!!
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015/02/free-time.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. I feel like this is the first time in about two weeks that I've had access to both of my hands. Turns out babies are really needy! First, I want to say thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement on my post about breastfeeding. I never got a chance to sit down at the computer to respond to each of you, but I read each comment (more than once) and it meant so much to me. E is about 6.5 weeks now! All that said - those things are temporary! I'm happy to report tha...
The Happy Life Plan: December 2014
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. 37 weeks - THREE! 37 weeks (and 1 day). Baby is the size of a:. Winter melon. Baby E is considered early-term now! He's still practicing sucking, breathing, swallowing and things like that. He's probably between 6 and 7.5 lbs now (based on my last growth scan). Very tired, often irritable and usually uncomfortable. Fine - I'm just really excited! No change since last week. Nursing bras are totally amazing though. Best moment of the week:. Beer and a cold turkey hoagie - this wi...
The Happy Life Plan: April 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. E is doing so well. He's a long and skinny little peanut, but he's growing really well. He was 7 pounds 2 ounces at birth and at 12 weeks, he was 11 pounds 12 ounces! He's always "talking" and laughing and lately he's been trying to eat everything that he can get his hands on. We all survived his first cold and his first trip on an airplane! We're all settling into a pretty good routine and things are much less stressful at home. E's least favorite things:. Im Ana. Im a 28 yea...
The Happy Life Plan: June 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. E was 13 lbs 12 oz at his 4 month checkup. Since we've started combo. Feeding/supplementing, he has definitely gained weight. I kind of want to take him in for a weight check to reassure myself that we're on the right track, but really there's no denying that he's doing well right now. I measured him last week and he's up to 27.5 inches - 96th percentile! Still coming in. It always looks different - blond, light brown, strawberry blond.how did I get a blond baby? Blue like his papa!
The Happy Life Plan: July 2014
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. 15 weeks (and 3 days). It's been a busy week so I'm. A little late with my update. You already know about Sunday. On Monday I also got bumped from my 6 AM flight until 1 PM so that was fun. Now we have some house guests - my cousin in visiting with her 5 month old son. It's been so fun to see. Binks and Bear around the baby. I was really nervous about it, but they're handling it really well. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they were a little less. Still in regular clothes.
The Happy Life Plan: October 2014
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Baby is the size of an:. Eggplant. Baby's brain is becoming more developed and he's "breathing" in amniotic fluid. Mostly just a sore and uncomfortable with a little bit of heartburn every now and then. And I'm exhausted all the time. I found out I'm anemic so that could be contributing to my fatigue. Hopefully the supplements will help. 12-13 Whatever. Baby looks fine, so I'm not worrying about it. Yep, most of the time. Not bad this week! Best moment of the week:. I'm feeling ...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Old chandeliers can be found anywhere for almost nothing - garage sales, auctions, thrift stores. I found this one at a flea market. Originally $20, marked down to $8, I paid $5. I was lucky - the woman was determined to sell it THAT DAY and I showed up late. Sometimes it pays to go late in the day. Yes, some of the "good" stuff will be gone. But good is in the eye of the beholder. I'd been looking for an old chandelier since I'd started seeing things like this on Pinterest.
Living The Impossible Dream
Living The Ineffable | My adventures, musings and creative ramblings.
My adventures, musings and creative ramblings. The Magic of a Place. November 30, 2013. July 25, 2014. I wrote these words in my journal, in this very table a couple of weeks ago. I was traveling with Uncle Sedgwick’s Curious Spectacle. There is something special here. Something happening my cognitive mind cannot grasp, but my heart, that intelligence that goes beyond the rational, gets. If I just stop trying to understand and just let it… Just let it… Just let it.
