Friday, December 30, 2016. At any rate, the pastors here rotate their meetings monthly so no one church (or wife! I made this with the low fat milk instead of the bourbon because it is not something i either like or keep in the house. The pastors just left and they all raved about it! 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour. 1/2 tsp. baking powder. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 8oz package cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup butter, softened. 3 cups granulated sugar. 1/4 cup bourbon OR low fat milk. 1 cup chopped toasted pecans.

Friday, July 31, 2015. Genealogy: Are You a Collector or a Researcher. We usually take a yearly trip to Nashville to visit friends and while there I spend the days at the state archives. Guess what I am doing? Copying and saving (although now they have those wonderful computers you can bring a flash drive to and just, you guessed, click and save! This year, I will make sure I am more attentive to what I copy and take the time to really discover what might be found in that elusive record!

Thursday, March 19, 2015. It has been a really long time since I have even thought about coming back to blog again. Having my knees done really took the starch out of me. It ended up I couldn't get both done at one time, so I had to settle for the end of June and the beginning of December. A nurse was putting the morphine in my IV, but it apparently had infiltrated and was just running into the top of my hand - the pain was unreal! The staff was incredible! My husband's friend Spencer used to make the most incredible Navy Bean soup - it was just beans and broth, but I have never been able to duplicate it, and sadly he has passed on, so I needed to find a better one than I had.
