Monthly Archives: June 2013. June 20, 2013 · 1:06 am. New life in Tokyo. It’s been a long time. Last time I wrote, I was living in Kamisu. Not anymore. I’m now in Tokyo teaching at a single elementary school. It’s a drastic change from my life in Kamisu. Tokyo is busy. Really busy. It’s taken some time to adjust to my new city. I’ve found each place has their own good and bad points. Tokyo allows me more freedom and has more entertainment options, but it’s busy. Very busy. New life in Tokyo.

End of the semester. Quick update →. July 24, 2012 · 9:40 pm. I’m still working this week. It’s not such a bad thing, as I don’t have any classes to prepare for. All I have to do is help three students prepare for the second round of the Interactive English Forum. I’ll be in Korea next week. I can’t wait. The plan is to hang out with my college roommate, Dongwoo. I may even check out the Expo 2012 in Yeosu. It’s about 4 hours from Seoul, but I think it would be worth the trip. End of the semester. Test day, hooray! New life in Tokyo →. January 30, 2013 · 7:31 am. First snow in Kamisu. I woke up Monday morning to the sound of thunder. Not a pleasant sound for someone who rides their bike to work. As I was getting ready, the thunder stopped. There was no sound of rain outside, so I figured I was in the clear. When I finally opened my shades, I saw snow. A massive flurry of heavy, wet snow. It was beautiful! I’m gonna go pick up a pizza and a movie! I do miss a real winter sometimes. I’m ta...Our son...

I’m also trying to maintain a healthy social life, so I don’t always have time to write. They now move on to the Prefecture competition. This semester is nearing completion. Thank God. I’ve got some exciting plans for the summer. On August 1, I will fly to South Korea to see one of my best friends. We used to live together in college,...Can be made out of ...

Autumn weather →. September 19, 2012 · 9:04 am. Long time, no see. My summer vacation was amazing. Long, sunny, busy days. As you can see, I haven’t updated in over a month. I’m back at school now. As much as I like my students, I’m bummed out that vacation is over! I traveled around a lot, and saw a lot of cool places. I started off by flying to Korea for a week. I spent about two weeks wandering around Tokyo, and I also found time to hit the beach a couple of times. Autumn weather →. New life in Tokyo.

Sinus infections and frustrations →. October 11, 2012 · 9:23 am. I never can keep up with this blog. It’s hard to keep writing. I spend most of my weekends out of town, too. It doesn’t leave much time to update. I’m trying to be more productive lately, so hopefully that carries over to my blog. Sumo More entertaining than you think. Here’s a list of some of the places I was able to check out this summer and early fall. Seoul, South Korea. Koreatown in Shin Okubo. One of my favorite days this summer was a...

Test day, hooray! November 28, 2012 · 11:12 pm. Sinus infections and frustrations. I’ve been feeling rough lately. About a month ago, a sinus infection rocked my world, and I haven’t been able to shake it. I went to the doctor in my neighborhood with the help of a translator right away. We waited for 45 minutes before the doctor could see me. I sat down with the doctor for no more than 20 seconds before he wrote me a prescription and told me to leave. Test day, hooray!
