We think that they are Nature’s poetry, and the most egalitarian of her displays, since everyone can have a fantastic view of them. We pledge to fight ‘blue-sky thinking’ wherever we find it. Saturday, October 18, 2008. 正式開幕那天, 我串門子串到累, 倚在五樓欄河和人聊天. 時為六點, 天開始暗, 望出去大天井, 看到一個個單位的燈光人影, 有種香港公屋那種萬家燈火的感覺. 我問身邊的朋友覺得這個地方怎樣, 她說: 看想去很好很warm, 但太井井有條了, 她很懷念油街那種自由自發的無皇管狀態, 但政府就是不願意你們這樣, 所以取締了油街, 代之以一個奄奄一息的牛棚, 待大家對牛棚感到不耐煩了, 再推出這個強勢管理的JCCAC, 大家自然收貨, 感激不盡. 一放一收, 她這裡面, 看到政府的計謀. 我當然看不見政府有這樣的部署, JCCAC 的確是一個管理主導的地方, 的確和油街完全不同. 如果將三個地方在管理方面比較, 我會說: 油街是低限管理, 基本上是自己管自己, 最符合藝術家的生存狀態和價值觀, 但壞處當然是不穩定. 牛棚的問題是: 它是有管理的, 但它的管理並不透明, 亦不符合藝術家的需要. I finished the Chinese translation in 2 days with great impact. A painful story of how a man fell gradually in the society. I don't know whether girls would like it as it is told from a very 'man' angle. And obviously this is why I echo so much of the pain in the book. Matthew Scudder series by Lawrence Block.
